Okay I don't know what is going on, but I'm getting very bad fps. I'd say the average is around ten fps. I am over the recommended requirements for the game. Also I have tried lowered all the settings to low and the the resolution to as low as it will go, and that doesn't help at all. I've tried setting the game to running on only one processor like some have said. So has anyone found anything to help with this problem? Thanks!!

What drivers are you using for the 9800gt?  Also, take a look at this post:

He had a KiSS movie/music player application software ( KiSS PC-Link )running in the background causing his slow fps. You may not have that program but I would recommend disabling background processes one at a time and see if that fixes your problem.

There had been people who had their FPS capped for some reason, some with high-end systems.  In one instance, reinstalling the game did in-fact fix the problem.  No harm in patching it to 1.01 also, so go ahead there.

you didn't specify how much video RAM you had or provide the dxdiag file... both of those will help us diagnose your graphics problem. Also, you might try disabling the PhysX on the GPU (you can do that through the PhysX link in the control panel)

I'm not sure the exact driver i'm using, but it is the latest one. Hmm I'll check my background stuffs. I so hope it works cause this is ridiculous .

   Dont patch the game unless you want even more problems...wait for a decent patch from the developers,not the pile of poo they've actually called the latest one.

Okay im kinda slow when it comes to such things, but im guessing that video ram is the ram having to do with my video card and that is 512mb also here is the dxdiag!!

You might try the beta drivers (do a search on the NVidia website) and then there's this:Driver: C:\\\\Windows\\\\system32\\\\dpinst.exe, 2.01.0000.0000 (English), 6/24/2008 20:57:00, 795104 bytes



It has an odd date out of sync with the rest of the files... may be nothing, but kinda strange anyway.

You should visit www.Reaktek.com and get the updated drivers for your HD audio. You're using window's default drivers (which tend to range from frustrating to utter **** in gaming)

As some stated disable any programs you don't need during game play time like antivirus,xfire or other form of chat IM's.
You might want to do some tune up like cleaning your browser history and junk files or use programs like http://www.ccleaner.com

Also after that you might want to defrag your hard drive or use this program to defrag. http://www.piriform.com/defraggler

Also might to try disabling the index program which can cause slow down during game play sometimes.

did you try disabling the stuff running in the background? there might be a program you're running (as Dateranoth said) that's causing this issue

For AMD machines you can use Fusion to shut down background services.

I shut down alot of the background programs and it didn't seem to help. But honestly I don't know for sure what i can shut down and what i shouldn't ehhe.

Enokiel, I think I have the identical problem as you.

I'm running a dell xps m1730 with:

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T8300 @ 2.40GHz

4096MB RAM

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT



I can't even run DA on the lowest setting possible, I've disabled everything and it still doesn't work.

Maybe it's something to do with the graphics card since we have the same one, mine is also 512mb.
