 I have met all of the listed requirments for the merrill romance option she is well beyond 50% friend and has been for a while (she hasnt left my party since i recruited her, with the exception of the deap roads) I have given her the Halla Horn gift and I have completed her quest but she still does not appear at my house at all. when will she? did i completely miss my chance? and does it matter that i have slept with isabella already? please help i really want to get with merrill on this play through. Spoilers are allowed ofcourse. thanks.

Hmm, I just flirted with her after the quest in act 2 (Mirror Image) and she came to my house at night. It doesn't matter if you slept with Isabela because in my current playthrough I'm romancing Isabela and Merrill still showed up at my house because I flirted with her just once (right after recruiting her, girl has a good memory).

Just remember to go to your house at night, the scene doesn't happen during the day Anyway, the only triggers for it should be a) high enough friendship/rivalry flirting with her before or during the 'questioning beliefs' conversation after doing Mirror Image.

YAY it just happened, i thought i had already done questioning beliefs with Merrill but it was Isabella's I was looking at under completed quest, thanks so much for the help

I romanced her and invited her to stay at my house and she agreed but I don't see her anywhere in my house. Is this normal?

Yes, she won't be there consistently till some point in Act 3. Bodahn will comment on it.
