The media came down on them for the ****** alright. 9/10, 10/10, 5/5....

Hahaha, this is comedy at its finest - no one else pick up on this?

lol the sex scenes, if you even want to call them that, are pretty laughable.

Needs to show more skin and add in some Fable style mattress noises and moans lol. ;)

Honestly, faced with the underwear sex scenes from DA:O or the fading to black we got with DA2, I think I much rather preferred DA2's method. The ones from DA:O came out as comedic rather than tasteful.

I'd much prefer a return to how they handled things in ME1, handling it tastefully like a film.

My personal take on this is a bit of a middle road, I think. I like the relationship aspect of Dragon Age and DA2 far better than Mass Effect. As others have said, in Mass Effect, there's no real emotional content to the relationships in comparison to Dragon Age. However, in terms of a "Sex Scene", if that's really important to you, I think Mass Effect 1 nailed it. Not overly racy or trashy, just a quick, sweet little culmination to the relationship. The problem is, Bioware got TONS of heat for including it, so we probably won't ever see it done that way again.

I liked the romance with Merill in DA2. I liked that she said she loved Hawke, and not just to Hawke, but to others in the party banter. It was sweet (and Merill is just the cutest character ever). I can agree to some point with people who were disappointed with the lack of nudity, not because I particularly care about the nudity, but because as an M-rated game, there's no reason nudity should be so taboo for this game. However, I really do have to voice the first thought I have every time a topic like this pops up:

Keep complaining about what they DO give us, and eventually it will disappear completely. I'd rather have sweet little romantic subplots with a "fade to black" love scene than no romantic subplots at all. Maybe I'm in the minority, but SOMETHING is better than nothing.

Oh my God ,Bioware.Dragon Age 2 is full of violence and blood.10000 enemies to kill.but when it comes down to sex you don t have any  balls.Come on we are not 12 anymore!Dragon age 2 is a mature game and i am a mature girl. I am deeply disappointed over the game, origins was much much better!!
And of course, even in sex..................

I agree, there is big lack of skin in this game, which is strange especially since there are naked demons everywhere....

I guess because of parents and the great American public, which really thinks showing a bit of skin on games or tv is the greatest evil of all time I guess they're a bit afraid.

Mass effect 2 was a deception on that field to. Remember the love scene with Tali? Yeah, that's what I mean by a big lack of skin.

It's not about ugly models or bad p0rn it's about looking forward to something more than a black screen when you worked several hours to win the women/men you chose

To the OP for your needs the're are other ways to get off. I think esp the Japanese made games that you might like. Or try something with sex and .com. I don't play a game for porn, LI's are a nice touch but nothing more, I'd rather see them put more effort in other areas.

I really liked the sex scenes.. So much better than the awkwardness that happened in Origins.

They were suggestive, and in some cases, pretty damn hot, without going too far. I don't want porn in my games, but I don't think the lack of nudity made them awful.(Though it was a little strange having a talk with a fully clothed Fenris after sex, while Hawke was in her underwear.

Yeah I agree, in Mass effect it feels like: Well, it's the end of the universe, so lets get dirty, but not now, wait until the last mission and then you'll get lucky. So I like the dragon age format better, but some skin is indeed a nice touch, since you usually work a lot for that

And well, like I said, thanks to the great American public, fox news and the parents, showing off skin in a game is now considered hardcore adult films. Gotta love censorship. That's why I like God of war, they don't care about parents crying. You get dismemberment sex, nudity and swearing.

Not like the PG-13 films, where it's hard to see blood anymore.

Die hard 4 PG 13 = Yippy kay yay mother pow pow pow... yep, they even screwed that.

What do we want our kids to watch..:
a) Sex / Virtual sex
B) Murder / Virtual murder

If you say B) -- isn't it because YOU feel insecure, and not because there's any REAL reason EXCEPT your insecurity that makes you want to watch violence over sex?

err, shouldn't i be more afraid of dying than being raped?  not sure how that makes me a religious nut.

loool this made my day  Mass Effect 1 had THE best sex scene I ever saw in video game, that was direction Bioware should take with sex scenes. It was mature, intimate and all in all very well done, it certainly added to experience. Instead we got fade to black with fully clothed characters.

Yeah, that made no sense to me. I'm a man, but it seems like they should be reversed. Death is a constant fear on my mind... I can't imagine women constantly consider the possibility of being raped... and further, women are raped under threat of death, so death must obviously be the worse scenario. Beyond that, that's just a dumb 'quiz' in many aspects.

Well ME had epic romance scenes. First sex with Asshley (sic) get interrupted by the radio coms, LOLLED HARD, but later she compensates for that just before the climax of the story - giving good high spirits to not ally with Reapers xD

Edit: Was long wait but was worth it. I had thoughts I had done something wrong and would not get her at any point. So it came like a little bit of surprise.

The Fox News stuff is hilarious to me 'cause Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld is a daily must-watch for me... and he seriously has way worse stuff on that show than ME1 ever had. He even used to make a bunch of jokes about not being allowed near schools, implying pedophilia charges. The network apparently told him not to do it anymore 'cause he prefaced all his pedophilia jokes with "I'm not allowed to say this anymore, but..." for awhile. Those all but disappeared eventually... guess they gave him a little sterner talking-to.

Yeah it, was really one of the best love scene in video game history, shame on Fox for only talking trash of video games.

The best love scene I ever saw: Heavy rain. more than epic. You're actually able to participate in the love scene. It's not like 30 sec, it's a few minutes I think, with nudity. It may be limited by the graphics, but it's a really emotional moment. high five to the developers for not being afraid of doing that.

It's funny, I actually missed the scene 'cause I couldn't bring myself to shoot the drug dealer in the scene prior. Then Ethan was in the corner crying like "That's it... my son is going to die..." when Madison leans in for a kiss. I was like "What? No... totally inappropriate at this moment." on my first play through. Since then, all my playthroughs have been with friends and family members there watching and giving input, so I'm always like "Yeah... I'm gonna skip over that." so I've yet to see it.

As someone mentioned earlier, though, Fahrenheit had similar scenes.

I'll never understand people complaining about the love scenes in DA2.

Did you play DA:O? The "sex scenes" were terrible. They were so generic. If you swapped out either of the characters involved, you'd still have the exact same scene, and it would make just as much sense. There was no sense of personality. They stood there woodenly, then had writhing weird sex in every position you can think of while set to cheesy music, then stood there woodenly again.

Sure, DA2 shows less actual sex by fading to black. But they show the passion and emotions leading into, and out of, the actual act. I have not romanced the males yet, but I can tell you that Isabela's is great. There was actual passion in it, and the after-sex conversation felt more dynamic and personal. Merrill's, while less lustful, was also very engaging, and the "cuddling and talking about the future" part afterwards was just perfect.

DA2 was more like a romance movie, with passion and dialogue and kissing, though a fade-to-black on the sex itself. DA:O as more like porn. All sex, no love or real sense of connection. Just two bodies slapping.
