Everytime it's the same argument that comes up when people want to go back to the quality of love scenes like in ME 1.
" Get a life, go out find a women and...."

Thanks I've got one, I can have sex if I want but what the most of you don't get is:
Bioware is good at creating a fantasy world and realistic characters. I can be the dragon slayer or the savior of the universe with amazing buddys at my side, and even fall in love with them, but while I can pulverize my enemys in a sick way of manner and every detail I can't have the sex that is tastefull and the top of a pursued relationship through the game.
It simply sticks out of the rest of the game.
We know that Bioware is capable of doing so since ME 1 and I think that I can speak for the most when I say: This is the way it should be done, not more nor less.

And in addition: Promoting a game with the sick violence that is included in a game like Dead Space 2 is okay but not love or realistic romances. no you get a FOX News scandal!
How about that EA? Scandals will and have be good for the selling numbers btw...

Just look at Charlie Sheen, drug addict, sex addict, bad father and all sorts of other fun stuff, but more and more people are tuning in to listen or buy is s***

EA even made an ad campaign featuring mothers commenting on the violence of the game (which was really cool if you ask me) with an ending like: "Your mother is going to hate it"
Should do the same for Bioware games, especially DA, since the graphic violence is pretty... graphic

I do agree.  While sex shouldn't be a focus, as it's not a porn game, it adds to realism.  I liked BioWare's way of making it subtle, not really a ****** thing, but giving a realistic, almost artistic view.  Like in Mass Effect and DA:O.  Could've used that when Bastila was around...

I don't have a problem with sex scenes, I have a problem with sex scenes that look weird because there's something "off" about the characters involved. You know, like every sex scene in a video game ever. I'm sure one day we will have the technology to have totally hot, realistic sex scenes, but as it stands now, I am perfectly happy to let it fade to black instead of having an awkward scene with two awkward bodies that are interacting (awkwardly!) but not really with each other.

Personally I'm glad some of the scenes were toned down. Like the Pearl and listening to voice-acted sex. My GF always would run to the computer to see if I was watching porn :(

*DA:O sex music*

Best way to create an awkward moment is to start playing that, anywhere... any time.

LOL.

Really, they could try working on animations to make them seem more.. realistic.  Not just sex scenes.

I totally agree with the OP. Where are the sex scenes???

I mean it seems OK to an allegedly "prudish" audience to cut off heads, splatter flesh and blood everywhere...but when it comes to Sex and Nudity we are back to the first ultra-religious settlers immigrating from Europe to America and their fanatic view on sexuality itself.

It seems that with DAO2 the templars and their religious fanatism have even inflitrated the developer team of Bioware.

That said, if you really think that KISSING A BREAST is worse than CUTTING IT OFF....you really have a serious notorious perception on life itself.

This is upsetting.

Every good hollywood movie has a nice love scene. Take desperado for example. Action packed with a killer love scene.

It just goes to show that Bioware doesn't give a **** anymore. So sad.  They've lost their art and passion.

Really?

First off, Desperado wasn't even that good. Second off, of all the movies nominated for Oscars, how many had "killer love scenes"? The King's Speech? Inception? Toy Story 3?

That just seems like a really shallow comment. Things don't need sex in 'em to be artistic, and a lack of sex doesn't mean a lack of passion on the part of the creators.

I completley agree infact BioWare lied to us!
www.esrb.org/ratings/synopsis.jsp
That is a link to the Entertaiment Software Rating Board (ESRB for short)
Now on there discription they say this
"In one cutscene, a woman kneels in front of a male character and
appears to perform fellatio—there is no depiction of the sex act; the
camera pans out to the rest of the room"
Now I've completed DA2 and I did not see a single BJ
I am dissapoint:(

As an open minded woman, I rather prefer those sex-scenes than mutilating foes. I think it was ok what was seen in DAO, or could not been seen. But cutting these scenes completely out of the game was a wrong decision they made.
Just my oppinion:)

Ps: If you locate any mistakes - keep them:)

All the romances in DA:O annoyed me, the only thing left was the sex, now if there had been better romance options and not whiney Alistair, Morrigan(I'm so superior), Leliana(so sweet you have to visit the dentist), not to mention the romance dialogue options felt incredibly forced.

I'd prefer that they show the sex scene romantically, on the other hand I'm not adverse to a good ole romp in the sack.

The scenes in DA:O were...akward. I mean the underwear was certainly a turn-off and certainly uncomfortable. ME1 was nice.

The flaw with that campaign was it was an M Rated game, the intended audience didn't give a crap what their mother thought of it. It was patronizing and silly and assumed all gamers are men-children living in their mother's basement.

If sex scenes means close-ups of badly rendered, twitching character models lying on each other in underwear with tacky music in the background, then I can do without them ;-)

Again that shows the complete lack of vision of today's game developers, that or lack of stones. To do a love scene rendered well takes time and money both of which publishers like EA and Activision do not like to part with even if it means a better quality product. It is the wham bam thank you mam approach to milking gamers. Strike while the brand loyalty is hot then run the brand into the dirt while the locusts at EA and Activision look for another up and comming development studio to gobble up and bleed dry.

I DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY AN ACTIVISION PRODUCT, i ignore Activision like the pox on gaming it is and have not for at least 3 years now, EA is close to that point of no return as well so i may just have to find another hobby. I am a 45 year old MFer who only has 2 hobbies guns and gaming, and only two vices women and 20 year old single malt. The best situation ever is when is when the scotch is older than the woman, Brilliant!
