Now on there discription they say this

appears to perform fellatio—there is no depiction of the sex act; the
camera pans out to the rest of the room"
Now I've completed DA2 and I did not see a single BJ
I am dissapoint:(

Well I saw it, but you need the Signature edition to see it, or the Exiled prince DLC

I'm personally glad, I don't feel it's necessary to show sex scenes in anything: games, movies, series etc. it's much more tasteful when a hint is given only rather than spelling it out like softcore porn.

Tasteful hints are like moving the camera to where the women threw her underwear onto the lamp and fading to black as she giggles or something.

There was none of this present.

I don't need to see underwear to know what's going to happen, it's freaking obvious and made even more clear AFTER the event in fact.

If anything, the Fox coverage increased the sales.

And Fox probably pushed a bush of angry mothers to send tons and tons of angry letters/email about how demonic it is to show (can't see any genital parts anyway...) a sex/love scene in a game, which she bought to her 11 years old kid. Even though the game is 17+

You want sex ? Buy you a Brazzers pass and not an RPG.

We don't really need to see every juicy details to know that our character and that Elf are f*cking together... I'm fine with what we got.

Sex is a lazy and unnecessary way to depict romance.

Wait a few months and I am sure there will be plenty of Dragon Age 2 porn for you to Google.

I seriously don't get all the fuzz... It's alright to watch bloodsplatters and limbs fly against your screen, but Maker forbid showing some exposed skin?
I would like some scene to show the romance, she building relationship. Heck, family shows are all about romance and showing affection. Plenty of 12+-rated movies have 'implied nudity and sex' in them. Then why is it such a taboo in MATURE games? I should really go see a physic if I want to play a 50-hour game only for seeing a 30 second cutscene with pixel sex... So really, it is NOT for the 'implied p0rn', as some naysayers seem to have as argument.
In fact, Team America type of 'pixel porn' is only very humerous, whilst I would like a serious note. Implying is therefore imo better then showing. Mass Effect 1 was, as mentioned earlier by others, a masterpiece for this. I thought it to be very tasteful and romantic. It didn't show anything more then your average music clip that's on MTV at 2 pm...

I really am asking myself the same thing. Why the well watching people slit each others throat is alright but never, oh never show some skin. Every time I, or any one else is bringing this point to light, either in a show, film or game, we get the "go watch some p0rn!"

I saw some amazing love scene (and some totally free nudity) in Spartacus (tv show). It really was moving and fun to watch. But of course those people had to call it softcore p0rn. I guess they really are afraid or uncomfortable in that particular area... Or they are religious nuts. But I don't know why they would even play a game or watch something like that...

Well anyway, I guess that's why Bioware is afraid of getting something marvelous like ME1 love scenes out the door. which is a shame.

That and retarded uninformed reporters working for Fox or other stupid news network

There is a problem with "sex shouldn't be in these games, if you want sex go find it somewhere else" arguments.

The fact is, BioWare chose to include romance. And they decided that those romances should feature sex. So it's not unreasonable from the audience to actually expect an ... artistic? creative? interesting?... depiction of it.

It's not like whining because in Planescape: Torment you weren't given the option to roll in bed with Fall-from-Grace (great character, BTW), which would have been stupid and against the characterization (for the uninitiated, she was a reformed, chaste succubus). And mostly irrelevant, since romance played a relatively small part in the big picture.

But if you devote quite a lot of attention and focus on romances, put overly-sexualized characters in your game (ex. Morrigan or Miranda or Isabela) and actually include sex scenes with them, you might as well make them... well, sexy.

I agree it's not *necessary* for a good game, but I don't see why people shouldn't complain if they didn't like the way this was implemented.

Why does it matter if there's no nudity? Romances in BioWare games depict a relationship not a sexy time with the alien chick.

Grow up people.

You found the words I couldn't find not having English as my native language, thank you for that! ;)

All the time it's the same with the guys that won't agree with us:" I don't need any sex in the game it's okay as it is blablabla...."
Bioware wants to improve so give more reasonable arguments than "keep status quo"---  Then let me say: I don't need all this splatter in-game. DA:O was okay but DA 2 is ridiculous... strike an enemy with your dagger and he is simply exploding.....
Bioware wants to improve so give more reasonable arguments than "keep status quo"---

Sorry that I'm coming up with this but the sex and violence subject and how it is coped within the game fits soooooooooooooooooooooooo well the cliché of the violence hungry but prude Americans.
Thank you BioWare there are also other people on other continents who buy your games and have more liberal views on ethics and moral.
Before someone feels offended: Yes I know there are still many Americans that aren't conservative and share the same view but I can just repeat "cliché"...

And of course, even in sex..................

This is upsetting.

Every good hollywood movie has a nice love scene. Take desperado for example. Action packed with a killer love scene.

It just goes to show that Bioware doesn't give a **** anymore. So sad.  They've lost their art and passion.

The fact that you think Desperado is a good movie should pretty much keep you out of any discussion on "art".

He's got a point there...

Let's replace Desperado with... Don't Look Now, since it uses explicit sex in an emotional manner, for a valid story-telling reason, and has a horror back-bone to the main story.

I can't believe no one has said it. Really no one is going to say it? Fine, I will. Who gives a f*ck what Fox news thinks? They're not a developer, they're probably not even viewed by the majority of DA fans anyway.

As for the "Go watch porn" comments, that's kind of an inept response don't you think? Stop and think about the biggest change games are really trying to make. Have you figured it out? Here, I'll help you...

Games are trying to be more cinematic. Trying to create an atmosphere of true immersion that you would get from a well rendered film. Granted not every story would need a love interest or a love scene at all. However, if a dev is even going to attempt it, one would think that it should receive as much attention as every other integral part of the project. To skimp on the love scene is like skimping on the cut scenes, or refining the audio. It's not essential to a game, but one trying to receive the same status and notoriety as a film, cutting corners isn't going to do it.

Well, Donald Sutherland is a pretty decent actor, but this wasn't his best piece. If you wanna see a real passionate film with an amazing love scene, let me suggest Original Sin.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0218922/

One of their best works.

"Porn Age: Happy Endings" is the new "mature" franchise by BioWare (funded by all mighty EA) . Coming soon.

Seriously, why always the topic about "Some don't mind showing violence but hate showing sex"?
