Just realised that if you have a custom tactics setup and respec with makers sigh, you will keep any abilities that are in your tactics and the points used to gain said abilities will duplicate.

I realise this is probably old but I thought Id mention it just in case.

FWIW, that did not happen with me. respec'd mageHawke at level 17 to re-distribute attributes, but also re-built without mental blast starter skill because it was redundant with force mage skills. Did not keep mental blast, did not have any more ability points than I should have.
