I have no clue how this happened. The game ran for the first ~12 hours smoothly. Then it started having problems. I looked all over here and online but couldn't find any fix except to run it in DirectX 9, which I did anyways. I ran it on near lowest settings to maximise performance. Eventually the problem went away but it would come back and in my 16th hour it stays. I'm in a sidequest for Varric and the auto save is on a battle so it loads up and crashes whenever he pulls Bianca out. When the game crashes I get this error that my display stopped working but was recovered.

I know my computer can run this, it did for over half a day! I'm not trying to max out settings, I just can make it work. I've cooled it down, I've turned off all but 5 necessary processesses, I keep the laptop so the fans aren't blocked. I checked the temperatures so it's not overheating. THe game just refuses to work.

My best guess is that you overworked the terrible little Chipset video chip so hard, it's been running so hot, that the MB is now acting erratically. Chipset video isn't supported.

So there's no fix other than getting a new video card?
