I was left with varrick, running in circles, waiting for skills to cool down. I managed to beat the dragon! But Istill felt pretty bad my party was torn up so quickly
Did you die to the Deep Roads dragon?

This boss sorta came out of nowhere for me. Before i knew it, (somehow) Avaline and my 2H warrior hawke died (playing on nightmare).

right stone monster. that guy isn't so terrible if you put your party on Hold, and know when to move 'em.
but he takes for.ever. And I am afriad of fighting him on nightmare...can be scary.

I had a lot more trouble with the dragon. That last boss just has a metric butload of health, but other then that he doesn't really move towards you if you run away, his attacks are easily avoidable and the minions he summons go down before they can even do damage if you have 2 or 3 archers/mages in the group.
The dragon however runs after you if you run away, his mini-dragon-minions are larger in number and stronger then the last boss' minion (plus there's a pretty good chance they'll spawn right on top of your mages). Once you learn to recognize them at least the dragon's strongest attacks are easily avoidable. But yeah; that dragon fight went wrong for me the first two times.

That was pretty bad boss. My archer assassin rogue Hawke did have trouble with it, but my mage, that among other things is a Spirit Healer, managed to keep the party alive. I found the Ancient Rock Wraith easier in fact, only problem was the Profane who focus fired on Hawke and kept killing her.
