Just finished the game and I'm VERY disappointed with the story and the so called 'choices' I was given. And everyone in the game being a blood mage just got silly at the end. I suspect they rushed this out the doors just to get some money. The combat was awesome though... That is about all I have to say good about it. Act 3 was a joke I couldn't wait till it was over. 

SPOILERS!!!!!
I killed Anders and Fenris, unintentionally slept with Merril (as well as intentionally sleeping with Fenris and Isabela earlier), was betrayed twice by Isabela, and I couldn't stand Aveline. GG. If it were up to me I'd of just played through the whole damned game with just Varric and sided with the Qunari at the end of Act 2 then killed all the mages and templars and called it a day.

The fact that I did everything I could to side with the Qunari but I couldn't, yet I clicked one heart box in a Merril dialogue after denying her the mirror and telling her to go **** herself and her blood magic over and over and still wound up sleeping with her is just messed up and lame. The choices for the heart box or broken heart box was 'I just want to protect you' or 'I don't want to let you hurt anyone'. I just wanted to protect her not get her into bed, holy crap Bioware.

There was no way to stear this story from its predetermined ending.This is the biggest disappointment I've had in a Bioware game.

Excuse me but something you wrote is wrong. You can incite the Merril romance with only one click on the heart choice, but you don't have to sleep with her yet. She comes to your house and you get the choice to do the romance or break it up. So actually you clicked it twice. Dunno what Bioware could do more to actually keep people from going into romances unintentional.

Pretty sure there was only one heart I clicked and we were already in my house...

She only comes to your house if you have an active romance. So you must have clicked it before. Or it is a bug.

She told me she never wanted to see me again at her house, then next time I came to my house she was there to apologize and thats when this happened.

Yeah that's the rival love path. You can have LI with rivals and friends both. She hates you one moment and loves you in the next. Women.
