since the last time i posted i went out, rented a movie, got some dinner and a 6pack, came back and watched the movie with my girl while eating dinner... and i come back and these little bitter men are still raging on about mages like they are better than the developers who make millions off of these games.


you just cant account for the basement dwelling bitter little men who have nothing better to do with their life than pound on a topic all day and night for weeks on end.

its sad really, but it debunks the idea that the important topics will get the most attention.

And your idea of an important topic is talking about your personal life and what your imagination tells you is the personal life of faceless people on the internet?

If you're here to talk about the game then do.

If you're here to talk about how many six packs you can drink then go elsewhere.

Ever since you tried to defend how Bioware made warriors and rogues near-useless compared to mages and got laughed at you've been ranting about "evil bitter little men" that exist in your imagination.  You don't have to do that. It's creepy.

I don't see why anyone would purposefully make a game where some classes are overall weaker than others.



Because of the lore? If that's the case that's some pretty lame lore. I'd like to think that the reason a mage becomes so powerful is through a lifetime of study and honing their skills, not by looking at a spellbook and yelling the best thing in there.



That said, there should be a few guidelines we should all take when taking about balance:

1. Pretend MMO's don't exist. Once you take this into account, then can you truly argue why balance is good or bad.

2. A set difficulty. When talking about balance it's best to talk about everyone's performance on the same difficulty setting.

sorry man it's just I haven't seen a life troll in a super long time.  I didn't even know they still made your model.  I figured trolls had moved on to more sophisticated techniques.  I'm anxiously awaiting what other life deficiencies I possess, and what amazing life prowess our super troll possesses that endow him with righteousness in this argument.

You have posted in this thread 3 times in the past hour to judge other people you know nothing about, brag about your awesome troll life, and think we are bitter about your glorious little existence? But no, I am not bitter about you trolling here any more than anybody else. I don't really see why you think your trolling makes people bitter about your great life while somebody else's means they have no life. i was never bragging, i was making a point. if you think i was bragging, thats just funny. apparently having a normal life is bragging to you?

a well adjusted person with a normal life wont sit here and hound a thread all day and night long like schyzm has been doing there.

i was gone for a few hours myself while i was doing things earlier, which was the point i was making, yet there is schyzm still trolling away and bashing on mages and bioware.

in another hour or so i wont be here anymore, ill be in bed, but you can count on schyzm and these other trolls still trolling away and having a pity party about mages.



the other threads i posted in i was pointing out how rogues are the best damage in the game, i was showing them where the guy proves it, and so on.

if i get stupid replies that just ignore the reality of the situation to continue their little pity party, of course im going to think they are just bitter little mage haters.

what else would you call it? they have been proven wrong, yet they still persist. thats just being bitter.

no i just find it the most suitable for people like you and schyzm and most of these other people who continue to troll day in and out about your one player game.

bioware tells you its working as intended and they arnt going to change it.
other players are proving how good other classes can be if played properly.

yet you still insist on crying about mages day in and day out. i think bitter is quite fitting.

The people who don't want mages balanced inability to present a good argument as to why they shouldn't be more balanced should be enough to force bioware to nerf them. Several reasons have been given as to why they need nerfed and the counter argument is always "its a single player game".

actually this is just completly wrong.

its been proven rogues are the highest damage in the game while having much more survivability.

mages rely on control and aoe damage to even live, without it they would be pretty useless except for a healer.




also bioware has stated flat out that mages are working as intended and they arnt going to change them.

no matter what you say, you cant get around that point. its just a brick wall.

changing the game to how you think it should be will only produce people who whine about those changes to replace you. then if they change it again, those people will be replaced by people whining about hating those changes.    over and over.

its a never ending cycle that is pointless.

they have provided you with a toolkit to adjust your game if you are that unhappy with it so they dont have to deal with this.

bioware does not need to spend forever adjusting classes back and forth to appease the vocal minority.

you have a toolkit to adjust your own game if you dont like it.



thats just how it is.

No, rogues have the highest damage of the melee classes. I've already proven to you that mages have the highest dps without even using vuln hex, dimes. <_<

This is a pure dagger rogue on Nightmare diffculty... I do far more damage than any of my other melee characters (and sometimes more overall damage than my best dps mage).
