Carver Hawke is Hawke's younger brother aged 18 years at the start of the game, and Bethany's fraternal twin. Carver is a warrior that specializes in Two-Handed weaponry.

- Carver was written by Lukas Kristjanson
- He's a companion for the duration of Act I and the final part of Act III
- Carver can be given a gift which is found during the quest "Birthright"
- His namesake is a templar, Ser Maurevar Carver, who helped his father, Malcolm Hawke, escape to Lothering
- If alive, Carver has two endings, becoming a Grey Warden or a Templar
