I most often play as Chaotic Neutral character, following a combination of following what I believe and working toward a set goal, but protecting myself and those close to me comes first

My characters develop over time. i.e. My rogue started out as a violent ends justify the means guy, but will turn into the caring Champion Kirkwall deserves. My warrior started as a guy who didn't care much and joked around and will turn into an aggressive hero Kirkwall needs.

Emrys Hawke.

The only people he's nice to are friends. Everyone else dies.

Lawful neutral. I think. She never allows a blood mage to live, but allows mages who surrendered without resorting to blood magic to return to the circle.  She sides with Meredith at the end to restore order.

Having Merrill hanging around is a big problem.  Can't kill her or expel her from the group for her blood magic.  I just don't bring her along to the parties.

Neutral Good and pissed off that she was only given the options of siding with a bunch of insane mages or a bunch of insane templar.

I'd say my Hawke was Neutral Good. I usually tend to go for LG or, at a push, CG; NG tends towards blandness. But there was so much wrong with both sides in the templars vs. mages struggle that Hawke ended up trying to be a force of benevolent balance just to stop them tearing each other apart.

My Hawke is just a cheeky bastard.
Almost always I'm choosing the charming/sly option (the purple gem or mask).
He's a rogue so I thought it would compliment him well.

I believe if I went warrior I'd go: tank (diplomatic/good) or two-handed (aggressive/chaotic)
Or mage I'd go: damage (agressive/chaotic) or support (diplomatic/good)

My rogue hawk is Chaotic Neutral I think He is a paid killer on several occasions. He is motivated by money and personal gain. He sides with the mages because templars annoy him and he likes disrupting the status quo for the lolz.
He tends to do whatever amuses him at any given moment.
But despite all that he is charming and funny.

I never was a big fan of the D&D scale, but ...

My first Hawke was probably lawful neutral.

My current is going for chaotic good, I think.

I would say my first play through with my two handed warrior sided with the mages.. I think my next play through as a mage I am going to side with the templars, just to see if there are any good conversations that I am turning against my people or something.

Lawful Chaotic, sometimes False Neutral, occasionally Evil Good.

But seriously, I think the mage/templar divide in DA2 especially is a fair representation of a Chaos/Law divide, but I think Good/Evil will be a bit murkier and more subjective. It's hard for me as a player to take the templar side without actively forcing dialog choices and actions that are contrary to my natural inclinations.

I've always loved the chaotic good side of things with pretty much everyone i play. If your good all is well he'll help you out. If your evil he's going to smash you, smash you good no damn trial or talking your way out of it. You did the wrong thing and crossed the hero and now your going home in pieces

I should make a chaotic Mage, he just wants to see the world burn. *bonus points for reference*

Rowan was Neutral Good, pretty solidly- she just wanted everyone to get along, and laugh at whatever quip she came up with. My second play through is Lawful Neutral.

My first playthrough I was boring ole Lawful Good.

After that I had much more fun playing as a sort of Lawful Evil character. Every time I either pick the money choice or the red fist choice. It's quite gratifying.

My mage is chaotic good. I'm now trying to play a templar ending with a lawful neutral warrior character. Honestly, when I played DnD I tried to play neutral; not true neutral ala monk, but ambiguous neutral.
