Okay, so apparently, the only way to get the chestpiece for the Armor of Ensalin (a rogue set) is to FIGHT Orwald the Braggart. (Correct me if I'm wrong please.) However, I managed to have Aveline scare the fight out of him, so the fight never occurred. 

I wish Bioware made it so the more peaceful options would lead to armor sets anyways.
