Until a few weeks ago that countdown was on a site called darkdaysarecomming and ended on the 12.21.2012 (teh cospiracy!!!)

It's a site run by funcum though and I used to follow what was going on there for the past few years. To promote their upcoming game "The Secret World" they had a ton of pretty cool Alternate Reality Games going on and you actually had to solve a quite complicated one to even fnd the community. The countdown has been replaced with that new site now though...

I was wondering if anyone would get the joke though

The alphabet/number thing is the vocational code for a soldier in the Alliance, and the numbers only go up to 7, according to mass effect wiki/codex.

Besides, if I had a penny for everytime a sci fi game used a combination of letters and numbers for no reason to decorate any single object anywhere in a game.....

 I know its me1, the point I was trying to make is that they have either showed Batarians as being without helmets, or wearing the same armor full stop as humans. Seeing as those faceplates are a distinctly me2 thing, don't see why they couldn't be batarians.

 Guess am just eager to fight some people who aren't "mercenaries"

I still think they're Batarians. Batarians seem to have a slightly bigger upper body around the shoulders and the closest baddie looks that way.

the only reason i say they are not batarians are the ones we have fought in me2 havent worn a helmet none in the blue sons wear one or in the side quest where we have to stop the missle launch wear a helmet thats why i say they arent batarians
