Anyway, don't know why people are raging about the screenshots, be happy with what you're getting - the DLC be released when it's ready.

Also i lol at the guy above talking about taxing lifestyle in America and buying DLC and what not. Before you start complaining bout the price of Fuel you pay essentially one dollar per litre, in NZ we pay 2.19 a litre. you don't know how good you got it.
The US is also bigger, which doesn't always directly factor into everyone's commute, but also socially does...as urban sprawl, do to the lack of natural constraints, makes two hour commutes a reality for many Americans.

Looking at the link addresses for all the arrival images, each image in the address is associated with a number: 106, 107, 108, and the final image is 112... wonder if they meant to do that, or if there are other images that are supposed to come prior to the one we received today... perhaps one of those between 108-112 is the image of Shep shooting the merc with reaper tech in the background

Given that there's a "stealth" achievement for this DLC, why is everyone so surprised that Shepard might be alone? It's a bit difficult to be sneaky with two poorly-coded AI NPCs following you around.
Going meta, but Kasumi does stealth fine.

I'll be frank...what exactly are we "getting"? They like any company interested in selling people things are building up hype for a new product. But it's not like a couple screenshots out of context probably carefully put together to give us some "clues" in hindsight and plenty of red herrings isn't exactly a lot. Not that I also want the whiners to shut up, but yeah I don't subscribe to giving thanks to companies for advertising their products.

Lots of Blue Suns wear helmets, so how do you know they weren't Batarians?

Agreed, given how the grunts work, how exactly would you tell if a Batarian was under there?

I like this new subdued approach. It's not like it's making any of us LESS interested, right?

You know... I really hope that's true.
We've never heard of Spacer Shepard's mother again after the short talk in ME1 and we never actually saw her. The other 2 backgrounds don't mention the parents or just claim you grew up without ever knowing them if I remember correctly so that'd still be possible. With the Reapers being obsessed about Shepard's body before it'd even make sense went if they went for relatives.
That'd mean the ultimate sacrifice is... Oh dear...
It all makes horrible sense now...

I'm liking the direction too. Heck, I think they should just drop the DLC without even giving a trailer (until lauch day that is).matt-bassist wrote...
Am I the only one who LIKES that every screenshot has been super cryptic with virtually no huge reveals? I mean LOTSB, they basically spoiled so much of the good stuff with their screenies.

the only problem is, Sheps parents are both dead in the other 2 campaigns... which would make your mom suddenly popping up for Colonist and Earthborn kinda weird...
Are they? I don't remember if it is literally stated that they are confirmed dead. If you chose earthborn you just never knew your parents for example (at least that's how I remember it. Let me look that up...)
EDIT:
"When you were sixteen, slavers raided Mindoir, slaughtering your family and friends."
Ok dismissed (Unless they pull a "hai I'm ur real Mother we had to give you away at a very you age for horrible reasons" thing)
That would have probably been one of the thoughest decisions Mass Effect would have ever offered. Sacrificing your own parent for whatever advantage that may give you against the reapers? Heavy stuff...

That thread that got locked down was very interesting, and I suspect it was locked down because they were getting waaay too close to the mark for bioware mods liking. The reason this thread is still open is because we're getting so easily distracted by something that has absolutely nothing to do with the material we have been given.

Well if this is the DLC that the CDN referenced and the rumored release of arrival is indeed 3/29 then we'll know on Tuesday if CDN has an official post.
Where was it rumored for a 3/29 release?

I'm dying for more ME 2 content.
By the way -- the rumoured release date of March 29 is wrong. Unsurprisingly. The same website apparently got some dates for Fallout: New Vegas DLC from the same source but Bethesda confirmed it was false.

Are we really talking about Shepard's mother? Where is this thread going? They've given us a gun battle and a massive countdown and we're hypothesising some kind of Ricki Lake in Space scenario???
She's Captain of a starship, she can deal with it.

Finally some sensible speculation.
Outstanding work. My eyes nearly came out.
