Surely there are 5 screenshots Chris?
- the guy in thw background is definitely carrying a flamethrower... none of the existing merc bands have been seen deploying humans/batarians with flamethrowers... the colours do not represent any of the known merc bands (Bloodpack = Red, Eclipse = Yellow, Blue Suns = Blue) I would assume they are a new group. (seeing as we get to disrupt the three existing bands in ME2 assignments)
- Object Rho, obvious, or trick of the eye? a cross between a miniature Reaper and a Turian/Asari head =P
- the background center shows us a room displaying blue-black cables... much like the Husks have running through their bodies, and they display a glow similar to the artifact on the left... maybe some kind of brain-wash station?
- the gun Shepard is firing as well as the one on his lower back look new...! YEEY for new weaponry!
that is all! <3

The heavy weapon is the missle launcher. But new images is always a plus, the wait is to much!

Blue Suns mercenaries used flamethrowers during Zaeed's loyalty mission - just played it again today.
None of the weapons are new. Mattock, rocket launcher, and Geth plasma shotgun.

If they were unimportant I doubt Bioware would put this on the Mass Effect homepage.
What does 304942 mean
Notice tiny underscore sign under vertical bar of '4', in the middle of 304942, like a small cursor.
Convert 304942 to binary:
1001010011100101110
Isolate middle '1' (at "cursor" position):
100101001 1 100101110
Replace 1 with OR ('|', vertical bar of '4'?)
100101001 or 100101110
Compute:
100101001 | 100101110 = 100101111
Convert 100101111 to decimal:
303
which can mean 30 of March

Unless it transforms into the SR3!!!

Hm, most of it is stuff we've heard already in the last few days but the gamma ray station stuff is kind of new. Wonder what his take on the "accidentally" leaked screenshot with the presumed Object Rho would be?
That Sheplock Holmes picture is so awesome by the way, totally saving that for future use.

There are some interesting points, but the author's astronomical ignorance doesn't speak for him:
The GRB referred to is in a distant galaxy. What could be detected is the surge of an event some billion years ago (I didn't bother to look up the approximate distance). It cannot be connected to the Reapers' current undertakings. Detecting any anomaly in that burst that could connect it to the Reapers - which is of course possible - would also mean they're a few billion years old. Which I would find awesome.I suspect that the location of this cosmic explosion is also the location of a Mass Effect Relay seen in the picture. This relay may be where the invading Reapers are first detected: the detected surge in power may represent the powering up of the previously dormant fleet (as seen in the end of Mass Effect 2).
Otherwise, the proposed scenario does indeed look somewhat plausible. It would be funny if it came to pass that way.

Interesting a read as that was, I still doubt we'll be dealing with anything reaper related(at least directly) because if they did they'd need to throw you directly into the climax, which is a horrible way to start any game. They also ignore everything we learned from the Alt Appearence Pack, which I find the attempted refution of by some members of this forum to be honestly ridiculous. I mean, look at the LotSB files. Those were in the base game, along with some of the remnants of Kasumi and all of those ended up being used in the final game. How is it that files that are found, that are named in relation to the DLC somehow are discarded as being "unverified"?kidbd15 wrote...

Anyway, I hold belief that we'll be dealing almost exclusively with a Batarian conflict. Perhaps it will set up a bigger issue in ME3, or maybe it will indirectly provide a new avenue for the Reapers to arrive(perhaps a cosmic event knocked a relay out into dark space?) I'm almost certain that we won't be seeing the arrival of the reapers, especially considering the fact that they're still off in dark space, and that's no short journey with both their primary and secondary plans down.
Now, that doesn't mean I don't think this will deal with important issues. I hope that we'll finally get to present the evidence from the end of ME2, maybe realign with the Alliance if we want to. One thing I don't think we'll be doing is finding evidence of the Reapers, or dealing with the VS in any significant capacity. I understand why everyone wants them back but LotSB was 2GB on the 360, that is the limit on file size and I don't want a half sized DLC just because they wanted to fully resolve an issue that can wait. I think that we'll see them, we'll hear from them but they won't be as integrated as Liara was just for the simple fact that it would be too big. Blame it on consoles if you want but the costs of pulling those VAs back for that much recording work would probably dissuade Bioware anyway.
