It's not mentioned in the press release itself, only in a PDF describing all the DLCs for Mass 2.

That's the SR2 shuttle. Looks like Shepard just got dropped off.

Hey, yeah you're right. Looks like the Kodiak either coming towards or going away. Bringing reinforcements maybe.

Maybe Hackett bails out the side, knife in his teeth, lands on the mech, twists it head off, then makes it fire at the trooper to the right. *overexcited*

So that trooper there is blue and white armoured - same as others we have seen in the screenshots so far or different?

Yeah, that's the Kodiak. What intrigues me is the blurred lines that are particularly noticable at the top of that image - almost like the thing Shepard is on is also zooming towards the relay.

Yeah I posted earlier (on this or the other thread..its all a bit of a blur now lol) saying how cool it would be if what you were fighting on was getting sucked into the mass relay, with some inception-style anti-gravity combat sort of thing.

EDIT: Plus - notice the breather helmets on Shep and the trooper, as opposed to Shep being helmet-less in the other screens. Maybe Shep's got his magnetic boots on the go again, fighting on the outside of a station or ship.

If you look at the kodiak closely you can discern that those are definitely its taillights! But why is it flying directly towards the Mass Relay? Can a kodiak utilize a Mass Relay the same way a large ship can or would it be torn to pieces? Will we be forced to put a squadmate on board and send them to their death?

if the mako can than I'm sure the kodiak can aswell.

The Kodiak can indeed use relays, that's how it gets Shepard between the Cerberus station and Freedom's Progress at the start of the game.
