I'm a bit worried I've done something wrong. She seems so relunctant to actually be in the relationship with Hawke. I know most of it is her perosnality, but I still worry I didn't so something right. I've begun the romance in Act 2 and just began Act 3. I've done every flirt option and just talked with her both times at the start of Act 3. She doesn't seem like she's very into the relationship. Then again, I may be overanazlyzing like I do in all of my romantic relationships XD

Alright, I probably shouldn't shadow my own insecurities onto my Dragon Age character, but honestly I am curious if this is normal Merrill behavior right around the start to Act 3. She just told me a story about a ring I found her, but things have been left at that. Does she expand more in Act 3 and I should just continue playing through, or have I messed up the relationship?

I have yet to romance Merrill, so I can't give specifics. But the relationship does generally progress in the next Act.

I honestly have no idea, I romanced Isabela and had a rivalry path with Merril but in Act 3 Merril visited my house at night and wanted to have a romance with me, there was only the heart and broken heart options and I chose the heart option first to see what happened, we slept together and then I asked her to move in with me, even though I had never flirted with her before, t'was rather odd, I then reloaded and went with the broken heart since I didn't want to cheat on Isabela after she had finally told me she loved me, I made Merril cry and felt awful for it =(

Don't worry your doing everything right. Actually I believe one of the two talks you have with Merrill is a bug and your supposed to talk with her after her final quest. I know because I did the same thing. You should be all right with Merrill, she is just a little focused on the mirror is all.
