Personally, I never register my games. I'm not going to start now.

I actually considered registering just because of my base dislike for being ignored.... and thats basically what is being said by making that new forum.

All the opinions on here no longer matter to them I guess.

Problem is, it's not about Bioware hiding from your opinions (you still have General Discussion, after all). If anything, it's more work for them and no guarantee the feedback will be any more useful. Rather, it's about players wanting, and now populating, a place apart from the massive tide of other players' opinions - yours, mine, whoever's.

Nah, pretty sure most of the registered owners hate it too.

Those sub forums are a lot more respectful of the game then the non-registered forums. Yes there are people on those forums that don't like the game, but the hate is kept to a minimum. Also like someone else said, no Giraffe dog. So that's always a plus.:wizard:

No, it's more like "Giraffe dog is there, but gets his posts/threads deleted fairly promptly".  He's already registered his "copy" a few times now.

I don’t think its right to automatically assume Bioware created this new forum subsection so they don’t have to listen to the complaints of non-registered users. It seems like since DA2’s release every complaint has been met with roving mobs of players who adopt a guilty until proven innocent mentality and practically accuse thread starters of piracy, maybe Bioware just wanted to fan the flames?

If it's any consolation If you read the registered game users forum the overwhelming opinion there is the game sucks too. And it hasnt stopped mangiraffedog. I dont think it worked out quite the way Bioware wanted.

Bought it and halfway through the game.

Thumbs down for a few things. Namely; slipshod game manual, shrunken gameworld, "plastered armor" (seriously, they're armor? looks like one piece rubber suits to me), movement style for female PC (up the stairs / hills, it's a sexy cat walk! whoooooo *whistles*.. NOT!! it's artocious), voice actor for female PC (sorry, but this gal will not get my vote of affection, I find myself unmotivated).

On the plus side, because of the slash n hack style plus shrunken gameworld, everything is moving at a faster pace. One need not take the time to admire the flora and fauna.

Bioware (through EA) is getting into some shady stuff. I used to love them, alas, I still await the coming of Mass Effect 3, but things are getting ridiculous around here: banning kids out of the forums (and their purchased games), boosting metacritic user scores (really?), separation of their userbase "rights" through forum permissions, censoring criticizm, and worst of all betraying the very basis that have made their games great.

What is their deal, seriously?

I've noticed that to be the trend for the past week.

My incredibly high impression of them has taken a real beating over this last week too. The creation of the forum in question is apparently just the latest piece of straw taking residence upon my camel's back. I'm wondering how high it can go.

What the hell are you guys thinkingAre you thinking?

Uh, no it isnt.

There are certainly opinion posts going each way, but that forum is most certainly calmer. No flaming, trolling and conspiracy theories. Just gamers discussing the game. It isnt overwhelming in favor of or against DA2 by any stretch.

Was created to keep trolls like the OP out of discussion. This forum is nothing but spammers and trolls now who need something better to do.

The registered user forum is like a VIP area of any large social group, not a systematical extermination. That's something Bungie would do, as they practice world domination. BioWare practices RPGs.. It's also an area for registered gamers to get help without being flooded with forum threads of spammers.

Oh, but that didn't cross your mind did it? I suppose not, since you can't see over your flames.

If you took a moment to stop posting everything in such a biased attitude, you'd realize that. If someone needs help with something in game, they're thread is more likely to get pushed down by rage and spam in an unregistered thread, than in one designed for people who are known to own the game and may have a legitimate question or concern.

It doesn't stop people from posting what they dislike or what they like. It give game owners a place to discuss their likes and dislikes without non-owners getting involved.

In otehr words, it isn't the "post here if you like it" forum. It is the "post here if you bought it" forum.

With the game lockouts why would anyone go to a forum with their registration account ans speak unkindly about DA2?

I approve + 1000000 of the new forum. No more picture spamming and trolling. This forum here is a snakepit. Enjoy it, if your taste goes that way. :bandit:

Bioware was probably hoping that a large number of the trolls and haters don't have DA2 on their profile so they separated the forums so that they could see whether the hate was truly strong amongst actual owners of the game. Doesn't work cause they hate is still appears strong in the registed owners forum.

No it doesn't. What we have is people who generally dislike the game giving intelligent criticism on their problems. Sheesh. And you aren't even registered, so don't talk.

Not at all. People are, for the most part, rationally discussing the game, it's pros and cons etc.
