If it's any consolation If you read the registered game users forum the overwhelming opinion there is the game sucks
Uh, no it isnt.
There are certainly opinion posts going each way, but that forum is most certainly calmer. No flaming, trolling and conspiracy theories. Just gamers discussing the game. It isnt overwhelming in favor of or against DA2 by any stretch.
Yeah it is pretty overwhelming. It might be a bit more civil, but it's still overwhelming. These people dont have to be registered to read it and see for themselves.

No it's happened way more than once. It's been a problem with EA since Spore. And v_ware isnt the only person here it happened to, his was just the publicized one.

You're full of it. This has been a problem for as long as these social forums have existed; I remember back when ME2 launched and some people were trolling up the forums that when they got banned, they lost access to their games and DLC.
This John Walker guy at RPS missed the boat completely. This has been going on for over a year now.

Perhaps the plan is; take the registered owner section complaints into consideration and ignore the General Forum opinions as useless fodder.

OK, so it happened once this time . Exactly how many times has this happened and when. Specifics, if you would be so kind.marshalleck wrote...

Bioware would be making a lot of ignorant assumptions by saying that though.sreaction wrote...
The rationalization is, "all the criticism cant be coming from real fans" hence the need to seperate forum participants into two categories: registered and non-registered. I guess the idea is to give a hypothetical value to forum posts: A is a registered game ownere hence his opinion is more valuable than B, who isn't registered. Also, it serves as a slap in the face to those who didnt buy the game and are vocal critics , a sort of "I am taking my ball and going home move". The registered game owner thread is their way attacking those critics.

Stanley Woo has stated they're still reading the discussion in here, so don't worry about it.
The Registered User forum is just a place where people who registered the game can discuss without the fear of trolls who haven't registered the game. Except for that image spammer guy, he seems pretty adamant in posting that image everywhere.

No, it isnt. You saying it is doesnt make it so. There are 23 threads on page one, not counting the stickies. Of those two have titles against DA2, one has a title ragging on Bioware for the Reg Users forum in general and another is about boobs. Browsing the content of the other threads shows it is a fairly even split.
As with your claim that lots of people have been banned and locked out of their games, post some proof instead of pulling it out of your back side.

Since I don't have access to moderation records, of course I can't provide specifics. But you knew that, which is why you asked for it. Give me a minute, I might be able to remember a few names of some of the more vocal trolls and critics who lost access to their games. Or maybe someone else will.

Not anymore, Bioware is trying to protect their image, rather than maintain integrity. The forums and posters are here for them to manipulate and regulate as they please like any forum. My issue is Bioware has been a bit toosensitive to anything that could possible be perceived as inflamatory, regardless if it brings up a valid point or not.Vice-Admiral von Titsling wrote...

I agree, it is foolhardy to ignore potential game owners and subordinate their opinions especially if those potential game owners have bought previous Bioware releases (that would be me:D). I short my opinion matters! Heh, a rather egoic assumption.

Why would I ask that if it hadn't already been happening often enough for community members to be aware of it?
Um, I don't doubt you on this, because I vaguely remember something like that with ME2, but the fact is, you could have just read the EA TOS. Unlikely, I know, because no one reads those things, but people getting banned isn't the only way one can learn about the policy.

No, it isn't. You're annoying.
It's pretty even. Hell, I'd even go to say it favors likers by a bit. You're just trolling. Shut-up and stay here. I son't see you adding to the criticism to try and improve the the game. Geez.

So basically you can only point to two specific incidents in the past year? how does that constitute a trend? ANd you said Stanle Woo said it was a possibilty. Did it actually happen? Did you indeed lose access?marshalleck wrote...
Actually, I currently have in my BSN messages folder a dialogue between myself and Stanley Woo dated from 4/21/2010 regarding an automated warning that was attached to my account because someone hit the "report post" button when I used a certain word that Tea Party activists used to describe themselves as, before they learned that it was actually in use already to describe a certain sexual activity. My account got flagged with a 'vulgar language' report and I inquired to Mr. Woo as to whether or not it could lead to losing access to ME2 and my DLC, so obviously I knew a year ago that this was a possibility. Is that specific enough, Bathead? Why would I ask that if it hadn't already been happening often enough for community members to be aware of it?

Posté 16 mars 2011 - 02:29
Well right, of course. But I mean Bathead was asking when it had actually happened before, not whether it was in the TOS. Just because it's there doesn't mean it will actually happen. The only reason I was aware of it was because as you say, some of the louder trolls and critics lost access to their ME2 DLC when they got banned.didymos1120 wrote...

As for who specifically and when, well, that's a bit of an impossible demand without access to EA's moderation records or an amazing memory, and Bathead knows it which is why he's asking. Of course I can't even get any decent responses from Google because it keeps spitting out hits to the latest "EA = devil" debacle.
