I think it is a valid move to filter people that didn't play the game but voice
their opinion nonetheless. And if someone with an unregistered copy but an
bioware account doesn't like that, why don't they register their copy and join?
They already have an account here, so what's the problem?
I am playing on my girlfriends lappy, we alternate titles, which usually means
I end up buying 90% of them XD. If I really enjoy the game for replay value or
modding tools are released then I'll buy a second copy, but in its current
incarnation I don't see my interest being held long enough.
It comes down to this, would you rather only hear opinions of people who like
your game or dislike it? If people's opinions who dislike it are heard they might
gain some more sales in DLC, by tweaking the game and taking them onboard. As
it stands though it seems they are hiding
Ultimately it depends what you are after on a forum, praise or feedback. If you
have a thick skin, which you need developing games, you take forum posts for
what they are, one person’s opinion out of millions. Still in that one opinion
something might be salvageable, even from the most ardent starcrossed admirer
or forum troll.

Nope, I don't, and I'm quite sure even without a registered game you could read these forums, so you'd know, but prejudice and smack talk is fun, isn't it? Game has it's many flaws, for sure, but it's nice to have a place without someone of the"GiraffeDog" brigade jumping in.
Oh, sorry then. See, you had a lasting impact here, be proud.

Unless it is indeed to make it easier to ban hammer the registered accounts of the game haters.
If so then poor them, next time reg 2 accounts as they really REALLY dont like bad comments on the game here.
Nice "community" huh
ps..if they did it to keep the dog spammer out, then they just gave him a huge ego boost, dumb move if so.
as everyone hates him likers and haters united about that.

Just because they do not like something, they are trying to screw others and convince others to hate it too... sorta like forum terrorism.

I don't "hate" anything. I am just disappointed that a sequel to an epic game which I have enjoyed to the fullest has been transformed to some medieval fps.
da2 a fps? lol.

OK so let me get this straight, you are so sick of people telling you that you have failed that you only want to hear the "registered" owners? What's next?
"Registered Game Owner Who Like Dragon Age II and he will write that he likes it thread"?
The epic failure of Dragon Age II is only surpassed by the fact that you honestly think that this game is good. Sorry for being so harsh however from all the great bioware rpgs I have played this is the worst by far.

Well at least these people know what they're talking about and don't get their opinions from hate-raters on Metacritic...
BTW: The general assumption that people who registered this game wouldn't speak out against it is bull****. These people are actually the ones having played the game and many of them are not pleased. If at all the opinions from these players should be worth more. But in reality of course the quality of their posts is all over the place, just everyone elses.

I'm sure most users wouldn't have a problem with people who dislike the game if they would be reasonable about how they go about it. I've read some of the unfavorable user reviews and they bring up good points, points that can be subjective, and points that are valid no matter what your feelings are about DA2. I think that most people are just tired of the circus thats in town right now, leading to no one being able to have an actual discussion without a unregistered user doing his very best to annoy you.

We've all voiced our disappointments with the game, the copy/paste dungeons, the combat is to swoosh swaash everything dies (sometimes), companion customization among other things, but saying that this game is an epic failure it's too unfair, the game is good, it just has it's flaws like any other game.

I have no problem with anyone who owns the game, played through to the end with an open mind, and still didn't enjoy it. You can't please everyone, and I respect (though I disagree with) their opinion. I do have a problem with people who didn't even play the game or only played the demo coming on here and bashing the game based on hearing that there were changes to it or based on the lousy demo. And as far as people who haven't finished the game all I would say to them is if asked halfway through whether I liked Origins better I would have said yes, but after I completed the game I changed my mind.
100% this.

QFT. What I was trying to say.
I encourage this 'segregation,' because 1) some of the great, lasting criticisms of this game by registered gamers have been drowned out by people without consistent views, threadlocking, and dogman and 2) people who are complete fanboys can remain in a section of the forum where they will not influence those who come here trying to decide whether to buy the game or not.
