Right out of the gate I got the consoleing quest from her, and a few companion quests for other companions, but not all of them. I have not gone to the Arishok for Black Powder Promise yet, been beating around the bush doing the other companion quests and cleaning up the streets, etc.
I had about 50% Friendship at the start, but I've lost a bit between Night Terrors (reclaimed that afterwards) and lost some destroying the Blood Magic Books with her in the party.

So long as you got a quest of some kind from her you should be alright, as far as I know. I believe the quest you mentioned is a relationship replacement for the standard "Say hi to your friends again" quests you get for the others.Feranel wrote...

I don't think I got one for Anders, but then I don't really care. XD Plus, I'm really apostate-friendly/anti-demon, so I'm really high friendship with him anyways.

I had a different bug occur with Merill. I first romanced Isabella and then Merill. After that, it seemed like isabella was not my LI anymore, but at the end of the game when all of your companions are together and have something to say before you initiate the final battale, both Isabella and Merill kissed me on the lips, and they were standing right next to each other! Neither one said anything about it, and when Varric tells the final piece of the story to the seeker, he says that everyone eventually left Hawk except for Isabella.

Yeah, you probably didn't do some quest he wanted you to in act 1. I ignored Fenris and after a while he stopped inviting me over a beer, a brood, and football.Feranel wrote...

huh, I never saw any other quests, I cleared out a ton in act one, I think I was level 11 and about 10% away from 12 when I wandered into the Deep Roads, I left the Deep Roads at level 14 iirc.
It was annoying though, I talked to him once in Act 1 and the only options were "Be mean and tell him not to think about me like that." "Say it's awkward but keep hitting on me." and "Say its ok to keep hitting on me." (Female Hawke)
I went the awkward route.

Ive tried the fix referenced in the wiki multiple times, no workies. I end up with a complete restart of Act 3 if I do the #1 option, and the bugged dialogue with the #2 option. I suppose picking #3 which gets you right into the guts of the quest would work, but you lose whatever dialogue/interaction lead to said action.

Had this issue on my rogue playthrough. My approval for Merill at the start of Act2 was almost dead neutral. I left Bethony behind and she went to the circle, with no followup from Merill upon returning and no quest after Blackpowder.
Did not have this issue on my first Mage playthrough under similar conditions.
