I personally loved dragon age 2 and im now on my second playthrough.

My question is what charactors and plot line should the dlc be or should it be a new charactor like Sebastian was or would you like new weapons and armor?

With Legacy out it takes up the spot of sibling story DLC.

What do you think will come next?

To be honest I wouldn't want more weapons or armor. The DLC items we have right now are plentiful as it is.

I'd like a companion actually, or even plot DLC.

Do not care what sort of DLC but I hope and pray that any DA2 DLC will be as good as ME2 Lair of The Shadow Broker DLC. DAO DLC has been truly disappointing - to say the very least.

Some sort of plot expansion with more varied areas.

I agree with this 10 fold.

Something where you meet your warden from Origins, or almost do. I wonder how Reina Hawke and my female elf mage from Origins would regard one another.

Maybe something where Andrasae does truly return, or so it seems. And of course a little more of an explanation into what Morrigan's up to.

Something like this is most likely the only sort of DLC I'll pay for. New content is always nice, but if it just involves running around the same areas in Kirkwall I'll likely pass.

Ill agree LOTSB was a master piece and it was rewarded well for being so but to be honest in both ME and ME2 it had a lot of references to the shadow broker which helped create a story line for it.... I wander what they have to work on as DA2 was great but it wasnt a direct sequel to origins (causing some people to hate it as they expected a direct sequel) Anyway ME to ME2 however kept the same charactors and plot in a sense they were still against the reapers.

Seeing more areas of the free marches. It would be nice to run into Shale..since we won't see Flemeth or Morrigan until the next Dragon Age.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a return trip to ferelden by the Champion.

My latest Warden didn't, she made the deal with Morrigan.  Now she's an Inferno/Tempest using Darkspawn slaying commander who's as powerful as Reina Hawke.

more areas. Because I can't stand all those recycled places.

I totally agree. My Mage who completed Origins was "shady and decietful" at best. To see a meeting between my grey warden mage and my champion of kirkwall mage would be "an interesting event" to say the least.

What I don't want to see, and surely it can't just be me, is standalone stuff like Leliana's Song. I never liked that since all I got for the "actual game" was some items, and the bulk of the DLC content itself was too short on its own.

Better to expand on the entire game, preferably with a full blown expansion, whether it should be post-ending or just add more content throughout I can't say.

I don't know though. I'm just so burned out on tiny little nuggets of content, they are not exactly filling.

I hope there's an expansion pack like Awakening instead of DLC, the DLC for origins wasn't really good.

I agree. But knowing me regardless of what it is, as long as it enhances and progresses the story i'll buy it. I'm such a scrub I know...:crying:

First of all, I'd like to see new locations or enviroments, especially after all the dungeon copy-paste reuse in the main game. What the ME team did with their story DLC. Look at Overlord or even better Lair of the Shadow Broker, and take some inspirations there how to do DLC.
Second, stand-alone modules are okay, but I'd prefer something integrated into the main campaign.
Third, a full blown expansion would be even better, like adding a 4th chapter.

Stand alone backstory DLC can be exciting. I'd like to see a Varric backstory. I would also like to see more plot extensions, that fill in the two to three year gaps. The end doesn't really tell how long the Champion was the viscount. He/she remained there for a time, a DLC as a prelude to III would be most welcomed.

No spoilers so this is tricky... I suspect most of the DLC will expand on in game stuff and any potential expansion (YES PLEASE) will focus on after the end.

Yargh, I hope that wasn't too spoilery.

As for =what and where=  I think "romance expansions" are the most likely.

Sebastian taking home city back.
An adventure with Isabela back to Ferelden.
Helping Merill either destroy a certain object or complete a certain object.
A certain Tevinter comes for Fenris.
Anders either tries to make good on a certain act... or decides to repeat a certain act.

I was actually pretty disappointed with Awakening as well, but yes, I too would also like to see expansion packs versus small DLC's.  Something with substance and replay value.

I would love dlc packs for the following:

1. Anders on a quest to get rid of Justice
2. Sebastian taking back his lands in Starkhaven
3. Pirate ship adventure with Isabela
4. Anything having to do with Alistair

I would add that I would hope with any pack they release that it includes the following:
1. NEW locations, no recycled maps or rehashed places we've been-there-done-that a zillion times like Deep Roads.
2. More conversation with the companions!!!
