These are roughly
in order of preference (within each category).
For new DLC I'de like to see:
- At least one new area per DLC, regardless of what the area does (be it a new companion, quest, items, etc.), and integreated into the main game in each case. Not like Witch Hunt and Golems, where an import was required.
- Two new companions, one of each gender, and romancable. Thorough backstory with related quests. (With the first point applying to all DLC, this is the DLC I am looking forward to most).
- A new quest, like Warden's Keep from DA:O, that you recieve new armour/talents from.
For an expansion I'de like to see:
- An expansion that adds new locations, quests, characters, story, and everything else to the original DA2. NOT one like Awakenings where you need to import your character.*
- Longer than Awakenings (by quite a bit...)
- More thorough integration with the original game than Awakenings (moreso than I mention in the below asterisk). Improvise

Thanks
*For example, if it were done with Awakenings no import would be needed (you could just continue your save file), you would still be able to access Orzammar, Denerim, and the rest of Ferelden that you could access in Origins. As a bonus there would have been a few added side-quests before the events of Awakening, both in the new areas and Origins' areas (meaning yes, you could travel to a select few Awakenings locations for quests, etc., before finishing the Origins storyline).
New companions I would still keep to post-Origins though.
Also the ability to use any new specialisations in the originial game.
Basically, an expansion that Expands the game. Both before and after the original (moreso afterwards, though).
