The ideal DLC for me would be adventures with Isabela and Hawke on a
pirate ship. The world map could be water and you dock at various
places! Adventure! Sexiness! Just sayin'.

And, assuming they take the more likely choice and set the DLC around Kirkwall with Hawke's mansion, I'd hope Isabela or your other love interests can be there and that they'll have more dialogue and content for the romances.

And, other than that, just give 'em something to do!

I would love to see Oghren as a DLC character in the future. As cool a Varric is no Dwarf can best Oghren in humor. I would also like to see an expansion of some type of DLC that involves our Greywarden character.

I want to know what we did in all those time-skips! I want to be able to go on missions for the smugglers/mercenaries in the year of servitude, to actually do things between coming home from the Deep Roads and the Qunari events, to, I don't know, start working on something between the Qunari and the mages/templars....

And more companion conversations!!! We get like, what, 5 the whole game, for each companion? Compared to Origins, which had multiple conversations, that felt like a ripoff.

Both of them are awesome, but having them both in the party would be pricless.

None would be preferable.

The team needs to move on from this flop and focus on new projects... like DA3.

I'd prefer if they didn't waste their time in "DLC" like the Darkspawn one for DAO or Witch Hunt. I'd prefer to see an expansion with Hawke like Awakening... only good!

If that's not possible, something continuing the story would be nice since the game doesn't have much of a re-playability (after 3-4 playthroughs) to have DLC like return to Ostagar.

Also, anything with the old characters would be nice. Although I cannot stand Leliana's accent, I wouldn't mind a DLC around the seekers and her time in Kirkwall.

Well, second the Qunari!.
It will be great to see a saarebas in my party as well) Why not?
A travel to Seheron, fighting the wile Tevinter Slavers.
And I want to learn more about companions! Let each of them have special DLC that describe their history (as it were in Lelianna's Song). Play as Fenris and run away from Magister. Play Varric and hear his full story of Bianca. As Merill learn the way of blood magic. As Anders leave the Wardens and bind your soul with Justice. Can't think of any Avelin's story, but well, I'm no Karpyshin anyway ;)

From the time you leave lothering, the game spans into intervals of sometihng like 1 year, 3 years, 4 years, and so on. Would be a timeline challenge to create a Soldiers Peak or Lair of Shadow Broker like dlc without the years causing missed opportunities.

unless its like the emporium, i see future dlc set to take place after youve finished the game.

Next DLC could be a quest with your "love" interest, whomever that might be, where your sister and maybe one or two others are involved in the aftermath of the Mage rebellion. Pirate adventure with Isabela, or ancient Elven lore hunting with Merrill, or Tevinter Magister hunting with Fenris, and so on. Lots of potential there.

I'd also like to see Starkhaven, and a follow up with Sebastion there would be cool (especially if he's fetching an army).

I'd also like to see the Free Marches Champion tournament (the one described in the codex entry for Celebrant).

I'd also like to visit Llomerryn. It just sounds like there's a ton of trouble (fun) you could get into there.

I'd also like to see what's going on with the Wardens, in particular, Waussupt (sp?) Fortress! With maybe a surprise cameo from the Warden Commander (Cousland, the Hero of Ferelden) at Vigil's Keep.

Hopefully you guys (Bioware) already have some DLC stuff developed and planned for release sooner than later. You're going to run into some stiff competition for my time and money come the end of the year.

P.S. Whatever it is, and wherever you take us, just please don't recycle your maps this time?

These are roughly in order of preference (within each category).

For new DLC I'de like to see:
- At least one new area per DLC, regardless of what the area does (be it a new companion, quest, items, etc.), and integreated into the main game in each case. Not like Witch Hunt and Golems, where an import was required.
- Two new companions, one of each gender, and romancable. Thorough backstory with related quests. (With the first point applying to all DLC, this is the DLC I am looking forward to most).
- A new quest, like Warden's Keep from DA:O, that you recieve new armour/talents from.

For an expansion I'de like to see:
- An expansion that adds new locations, quests, characters, story, and everything else to the original DA2. NOT one like Awakenings where you need to import your character.*
- Longer than Awakenings (by quite a bit...)
- More thorough integration with the original game than Awakenings (moreso than I mention in the below asterisk). Improvise :P

Thanks

*For example, if it were done with Awakenings no import would be needed (you could just continue your save file), you would still be able to access Orzammar, Denerim, and the rest of Ferelden that you could access in Origins. As a bonus there would have been a few added side-quests before the events of Awakening, both in the new areas and Origins' areas (meaning yes, you could travel to a select few Awakenings locations for quests, etc., before finishing the Origins storyline).
New companions I would still keep to post-Origins though.
Also the ability to use any new specialisations in the originial game.
Basically, an expansion that Expands the game. Both before and after the original (moreso afterwards, though).

What they -should- do (and won't, because they'll never, EVER admit fault) is release a free "real ending" apology DLC. They should also release a patch where you can change a few of the late game facepalm moments via dialogue.

Bethesda did.  Broken Steel addressed all my issues with the crappy ending to FO3.

Other than that, the only DLC I want is Alternate Appearance Packs.  Light, medium and heavy outfits for all companions.

Something I thought of after I had posted, but thought it was worth mentioning as a "down the road" idea is to have a DA expansion (or even as far removed as DA4) where the main characters of each main story arc come together for some epic climax. Cousland, Hawke, and whomever the main character is in DA3, all come together with one other noteable addition from prior companions of the prior stories. Basically, all the "heroes" from prior DA stories are brought together by fate to face some great peril and shape the destiny of the world. Now THAT would be cool.

P.S. As others have suggested already, just because we've moved on to Hawke in DA2 doesn't mean you guys still can't create DLC for Cousland. I'd love to see how Ferelden is doing, and there's always work to be done by a Grey Warden in the Deep Roads.

P.S.S. Please give us some additional weapon and armor sets as DLC. By sets, I also mean with set bonuses. There was a woeful lack of these in DA2 compared to DA:O. For example, the Champions armor was nearly obsolete by the time I got to the final battle, and there was no twin for Finesse, no set bonus for having both Carta blades, and no cool ring sets like Awakenings had.

Content.

Lots of it, I do not want to see lightweight overpriced DLC ala DA 1, I want to see meaningful DLC, perhaps stronghold developement (hint to see this done right play NWN 2 its one of the few things Obsidian beat you guys at).

I would like to see a fleshing out of the story and perhaps some follow on DLC showing the consiquences of player choices.

A day in the life of Varric Tethras, if only to include a section involving bribing palace guards to look the other way whilst Merrill wanders through, picking flowers and cooing at statues.

The world needs more of those two.

I'm not sure I'd want a DLC for separating Justice from Anders. Knowing how evil the Bioware writers are, they would have it end with Anders ending up Tranquil. So... I'm quite happy for them to just leave that alone, thank you very much :P

I'd really like to see what happened after the end battle, and before Varric was interrogated. Hawke didn't just vanish right away; he/she slowly separated from all but his/her love interest. I want to know how that happened - why did all my friends abandon me? :( And where the heck did I go?

To be contrarian (but hopefully not rude) -- I'd rather see the dev team concentrate on DA3 and not do DLCs (or at least any major ones). Although it has its moments, I don't find DA2 tenable as a base to build on, and it's various gameplay mechanics are not something that I'd care to wander through again in a DLC. There's just too much stuff that needs changing, but that much changing is probably not fixable without major architectural changes -- not something that could be delivered in a DLC.

There's been a lot of good feedback as to what works and what doesn't in DA2, so why not forget about any major DLCs and instead put full focus on architecting a game that combines the best of DA:O and DA:2? (I expect I'm in the minority on that opinion, though...)

I might have a bug or something, but my chantry board (or any boards otherwise) had no quests. So they can expand this part with small quests with short stories, but not in terms of where you fetch something and give it back with generic response. Instead where there are few short conversations during a quest.
Also I don't know what BW's plans, but any DLC that can continue the story after endgame, about what happens next, are more than welcomed. But probably it will be done with expansion or DA3.

I personally can't think of any cliff hangers (aside of ending itself). All stories were complete in my playthrough. Thus I'm up to anything, and I would rather be more interested in lot's of short quests rather than one big one in a single DLC.

Oh... and any DLC, whatever it will be, should bring new locations :) I would like to see a forest, because graphics are good thus it would be pretty :)
