Game seems set up for DLC content to flow in the immediate aftermath of the game's conclusion in a similar fashion to ME2. Get away from Kirkwall for a time at least. Pirating on the sword coast with Isabela please.

More unique environments. More companion time. More romance. More family. More back-reference to imported data.

A lot of people would like to see a return to Ferelden but since we're in the free marches I think that area should be exploited. My ideal DLC would be based more upon opening up these areas than a single quest, as such, and would enrich the stories of existing and new companions.

Some thoughts...

Starkhaven
Obvious one this. There's a tantilising description of it in the codex and it wouldn't be hard to find a reason to go there from a travel hub e.g. ship/coach house.

Act 2/3 - Amell family heirlooms sold by Gamlen traced to Starkhaven> Speak to Gamlen 'Shall I tell Bethany/Carver to meet you at (travel hub)'. Off you go to be waylaid by new danger.

Act 2 (after Repentence) - Take Seb to Starkhaven to contact Vael loyalists. Quest clearly shows price of retaking Starkhaven, giving greater subtance to his remarks later in game.

Act 3 (after faith/end of game) - Resolve Starkhaven sit.

Ostwick
Act 2 - Visit city with pirate flavour/Antivan influence. Fight sea monsters. Visit brothel aboard wrecked ship.

Act 3- Take Isabela to old stomping ground/ get her back if she left at end of Act 2. Deepen her character and futher romance.

Cumberland
Act 2 - Anders hears word that his old cat Ser Pounce-A-Lot sired kittens with a lyrium-addled queen in the Colleges of Magi and passed on the blight to them. Quest ends with summonable Arl Eat-Em for Bethany/Carver, (to match your Mabari) who now looks after them in the gallows (to feed lyrium habit) or w/ Grey Wardens (to overcome blight). Cameos by Shale/Wynne.

Act 3 -  Meredith/Orsino sends you and sibling to check the pulse of Colleges of Magi re. sit in Kirkwall. Possible post-game extension.

Visit Grey Wardens
Post Act 1/2 whenever you first meet them. Chance to find out more about Warden-Commander of Ferelden.

As far as DLC is concerned I'd divide it into two categories:

  • What I'm willing to pay for.
  • What I'm not willing to pay but think is needed.
DLC in the first category:
  • Follow-up to the Loose Ends quest whether you chose to side with the Mercs or the Smugglers. It was disappointing to have them tell you to come see them for more jobs but they did not have anything for you. This was obviously intended in the game so cost would have to be reasonable (5$ CDN at most).
  • A few more mage underground quests in the earlier acts to better build towards the finale. This would create a better tie-in to the main story and shouldn't penalize players too much for its exclusion so price needs to be reasonable (again 5$ at most).
  • An additional mage companion with access to the creation tree. Personality wise, I'd prefer the character be pro-circle/chantry to offer an alternative to Anders' self-righteousness. If the character is as developped as Sebastian, I think the same price is fair.
  • A quest line involving the Coterie as they are said to be the big fish in Kirkwall's underworld.
  • A way to gather influence and power within the city based on your answer to Varric at the start of act 2 (political, mercantile, etc). Obviously this would be the closest one could get to having a "stronghold" like we saw back in the days of Baldur's Gate 2.

DLC in the 2nd category:
  • Map pack to replace some or all of the recycled caves. Hell, even replacing the textures might be enough to address some of the valid criticism.
  • A few alternative outfits for companions based on either romances, which act of the story you are in, purchased or acquired armour upgrades, or any of the previous.
  • An alternate armour set for each act to fill out certain specializations. A shield +1h set vs a 2h set for warriors, dual wield vs archery for rogues, etc.

I really like these ideas.  Posted Image

I, too,  would like to see additional recruitable companions (especially a healerish mage [as an alternative to Anders] and/or a tankish sword-and-board warrior [Keran?]) with associated quest(s). Sebastian was ... OK (the story was fair, but I found him dull [good voice acting, however] and I hardly ever used him while questing). He paled in comparison to Varric or Isabela, personality-wise.

If not that, additional DLC quests/stories related to any of the companions would be great. Something related to Carver or Bethany would be good, too.

Some sort of plot expansion with more varied areas.

This please.

Also, content that can be accessed from within the main story, involves Hawke and his companions and provides new, more varied locales, new stories and some extra items to go along. Something akin to Lair of the Shadowbroker from ME2 would be perfect.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I would sure like some patches and bug fixes and promised feature to be implemented (AUTO-ATTACK for consoles).

Frankly they need to sort out the Friendship Bugs way before they slip out some greedy DLC. Too many players have had their entire experience ruined due tot he Friendship Bugs and it is happening across all platforms.

Before any proper DLC comes out, however, I would like to see a patch to fix known bugs (Isa/Seb friendship bug I'm looking at you...) and a High-Res pack for hair and armour textures, which are not up to DA:O standards on the PC.

I still would like to see a Tavern Night DLC focused on companion interaction.
I would love to see a DLC focused on learning more about your companions in a positive light (Tavern Night drinking is a bonus, but not required, hehe).

Some new frigging armor not reshased **** from DA:O and Recoloured versions of stuff already ingame -.- (Also fat chance)

Plenty of armor in the game files that we don't see in-game.

Some we do that we just don't get. [Sacred Ashes Warden armor/Warden ensign Armor w/helm]

And how about some freakin Mage Armor that looks cool like the Champion Armor and not like a sissified and pathetically cliche robe.

The Schleets :o and a giant donut that eats people and that you have to vanquish and then Leandra wakes Hawke up and tells him he is drooling.

In all seriousness though, I would love a long DLC that puts us in events that were skipped and rushed from the game, like Hawke and Carver fighting in Ostagar and running away toward Lothering if your Hawke is a warrior/rogue. And something else for the Mage like him seeing his brother coming back and then taking the family to safety. Then certain events that happened once you left the deep roads and came back to Kirkwall.

DLC I think could be neat:

More missions with past companions. It could be called "Old Friends". I want to see how Shale is doing. What's up with Wynne? How about just tagging along more with Zevran and Nathaniel? I'd be happy with that.

More items and equipment. How about alternate looks for Hawke's Champion Armor? I do like the default styles, but do they have to be so grim? So let's have alternates. Why not something heroic and 50s classic. Similar to the awesome goody-goodyness of Sebastian's armor.

How about this... a Compassion or Fear Mission set. Right now there isn't much we can do for the refugees in Kirkwall. Why not a DLC that allows us to help the Darktown peeps? Throw in an option to be a mustache twirling meany and the darker crowd can have fun with it too.

Finally... let me give Anders a cat. Please. I blame the Wardens for his end game decisions. ;) If only he had his cat.

I think is pretty clear that not only does the plot device of the DA2 storying being told over a decade... but the spans of time where the story jumps to the next act. Is a perfect time for their to be added DLC to cover the time between. Plus there are a few years after act 3 that can be jammed full of DLC or a full blown expansion.  And i'm sure this has not escaped the writers and developers on the DA2 team.

A full blown expansion should detail the time after act 3. Which issure to be pretty epic since from the epicloge it seems a lot happened.

I wouldn't mind seeing a DLC that expands upon Leliana's specific mission, maybe even being able to play AS her? As mentioned here, I wouldn't mind seeing a resolution to the Anders/Justice thing. The Awakenings epilogue alluded to him returning to the Wardens at some point, so I want to see how this all links together. A resolution to the Starkhaven thing, based on Hawke's decisions. I also would love to see something involving the Warden, but I'm not holding my breath for that. And, if romanced, an adventure with Isabela, perhaps?

As for non-story related stuff, I wouldn't mind additional companions. I also wouldn't mind additional maps/areas and item sets if they're bundled together. But, new maps/areas and item sets can't be the only DLC...though, given that this is EA we're talking about...>_>

The Possibility to solve the Kirkwall incident "peacefully" the Qunari respect Strength and Honour so it would not be impossible to solve the conflict peacefully or with much less bloodshed
