How about a contest?

1) a contest to name a weapon or armor

OR

2) a contest where contestants create a concept for something playable

Winners gets their concept turned to DLC

2 runners up get exclusive in-game items.

Since this area is supposed to be an alliance of several great cities, how about a dlc where the champion is called to help in one of the other cities?

Still prefer a DA2 toolset first.

*Need to be an excelent dlc to pay for it, anything less i won't even bother looking

I would like to see new map areas introduced, a new area would be very cool. I also would like to see werewolves. I liked the storyline involving them in origins. Maybe a werewolf companion? I mean half the party is already some kind of freak as it is. Anders and Merril. Maybe one more specialization for each class?

Anders DLC! Please! If you refuse to put him in DA3, then please make DLC content that explains what happens if Hawke let him live…

I would love to see some DLC that focuses on either an Anders separating form Justice, or something about his shenanigans if he lives. That final bit in the turned him into one of the most fascinating characters for me.

I agree with all others who say that new DLC should really have new environments though.

I'll humor you. Alrighty then. After the main plot subsides we are given a new task. Varric goes to his home, and opens up the book Casandra threw at him. He chuckles and says that some stories are like Bianca. He promised to never tell them. Depending on our choice in the end. Either a group of mages will assault our home as viscount, or templars will chase Hawke out of Kirkwall from his regular home.

Once out of the city Varric suggests we go north and search for a place to hide for a while. All of our companions are running with us due to the fact they are considered criminals like us. Hawke and friends hide in a village for a while where we encounter our first replacement companion. Since most companions can either die or leave our party. Hawke must find out who is in charge of the village, and once s/he does they will be informed by how quckly the mage/templar situation has become. Once night falls templars/mages appear to root Hawke out of the village and cause mayhem.

Hawke must fight his/her way out and continue to journey through the Free Marches. Hawke realizes now that s/he is being hunted down by his/her enemies.

Flemeth appears before Hawke and makes his/her goal clear. Rally the Free Marches to contain the war. Hawke must deal with the templar/mage problem throughout the Free Marches, and do whatever ti takes to keep it from consuming Thedas. A noble from Starkhaven will stand in Hawke's way, because essentially Hawke is bringing the Free Marches under one rule. This noble will continue to try and stop Hawke from building the force need to contain the templar/mage problem.

Eventually Hawke succeeds, but the circles have already been disbanded. The situation spreads beyond the Free Marche, but thanks to Hawke the people of the Free Marches can hope to be free of the conflict that moved on elsewhere.

Basically got us a concrete plot, and let us explore the rest of the Free Marches.

Considering that my main grief with the new item pack DLC are it's generally horrible artwork, making the items useless since I cannot stand seeing them, some artwork replacement DLC would be nice.

Look at "Adonnays Weapon Replacer" mod and make something similar as an official download and do the same done to armour as well. Do several versions of this so people can choose what style they prefer, thus those that want giant sized weapons and skyscraper shoulderpads and mile long spikes can get that, from "their" version of the mod. Sparing us that do not want that the horror of seeing them, or worst stat wise being forced to use them.

I want elegant looking items, not the horrors we tend to get nowadays, ugly design has already driven me from World of Warcraft, there they can do elegant items as well but make them strictly NPC only or they are so useless statwise that they cannot be used at all. DO not do the same here, it does not matter how good your content are story wise if I cannot stand playing throu the content. IF you make a game with "30+ hours" content and I am forced to drop it in disgust after five minutes, then that is the what the story content are really worth.

Artwork must improve, and I am not talking about special effects or Hi resoulotion graphics, adding that intead of good design is like studuing a pile of manure from a really close range, one would just get ones face smeared in ****.

In the next DLC I'll love to see, hawk doing more adventures after the end game.

If for any reason bioware is going to add old companion, let us help them in their own adventures.
If the DLC is about the war with Orlais and Ferelden, let us help the King or Queen* ( if Someone killed Alistair*) and the Warden*( If alive*).
Not sure if the game will allow patriotism but, as hawk she always said to feris and Alistair that Ferelden was HER home. The warden is a ferelden so I dought she will stop helping ferelden.

All and all, let us play with the Main character *Hawk*, until DA3 hit with a new hero.

to be honest up for almost anything but sole item packs, short DLC's and recycled maps.
would like to see... :wizard:

- full expansions (not those lil' snip-bit DLC's)
- more/ further interaction with LIs
- closure/ or something rather concerning companions
- new and fresh areas to explore a bit (please, no recycled maps!)

blah, blah, blah and so forth
(should have just posted what i didn't want to see because anything else was pretty much mentioned).

funniest thing is.... capcom with megaman legends 3 is doing what everyone wishes bioware would do with the dragon age series.... contests, designs from the community, a free beta version of the game where you can state your opinion afterwards and things WILL change. Hell what I want most from DLC is some sort of extra dungeon skins for the singeplayer you know id be willing to PAY AGAIN! to not have to do the same damn 3 dungeons over and over and over

It sure as **** wasn't BUYING more armor, how silly is that?

Trying to sell me more graphics you withheld from the game itself is not going to win me over after you already pissed me off by making a sub-par game.

GIVING away silly crap like that might have gone a long way to mending the feeling that I got screwed.

No small DLC! DA2 is too disappointing to patch up with regular DLC.

How about the next chapter were we get to put everything back together again... maybe throw in a choice or two that actual affects something! And bingo, you've thrown the game I can't even bother to finish my 2nd play through of, a life line!

Or how about a DLC that actually lets you make some new conversation choices during the game that have an impact? Like Kill Anders or Merrill or that Chantry sister that betrays you...

Or how about DLC that actually lets you become Viscout wrestling control away from the Knight Commander and altering the end game in some way...

Any type of side dish minor add on DLC won't have any interest for me.

Dragon Age 2 DLC - "The Calling"

Play as your Grey Warden from Origins one last time in THE real conclusion to the Warden's (And Alistair's) story.

Import your Hero of Ferelden from Origins, or if you decide not to import then you'll have the default 3 preset choices to choose from (Hero of Ferelden, No Compromise, and I forgot the name of the last one :P)

The Warden and Alistair have reached their calling. Play as your Warden one last time in his/her final battle against the Darkspawn.

If the Warden is in a romance with Alistair, he will mention it.
If Alistair is king, it is mentioned.
If the Warden had Anora and Alistair rule together as queen, it is mentioned.
If Alistair ran off because you spared Loghain, he will still accompany you, explaining "His duties as a grey warden are not over yet"

Yeah thats all I've got so far. If this idea was posted before then sorry, I just don't want to wade through 30 pages. :P

Even though that the Warden has little to do with DA2, I still feel it would be okay to make this a Dragon Age 2 DLC. It just feels more right than making it an Origins DLC

What do I want to see? hmmm....

  • Year 1 DLC - Simply put, I want to play as either a mercenary for Meeran's Red Irons crew or one of Athenril's smugglers. I don't want to hear how I kept Athenril in business without actually having seen and done it. This is really something that should've been present in the game itself, but if I have to shell out more money to make it feel a little more complete, then so be it. The only quest Athenril gave me up front was Loose Ends, while all the others she gave were by letter. Which Meeran could end up sending your way too. That just doesn't work in my book. Also, I want to romance Athenril in Year 1!! And as the final caveat, when you leave Kirkwall Athenril joins up with you.
  • More Free Marches Cities - Since the Free Marches are a collection of various city-states, it wouldn't hurt to visit a few more cities. The game currently limits us to 4 main areas, when DA:O had many more. Add in a Chanter's Board in these cities where you're actually helping people, solidifying a place as a resident of the Free Marches.
  • Establish Connections - This idea was originally made by KnightofPhoenix I believe, and it would be nice if we could establish connections. Doing quests for the Dwarven Merchant's Guild through Varric, helping out the elven Alienage to garner the support of the elves, protecting trading ships out on the Waking Sea, etc. This way, you could actually feel more like you have risen to power on your own merits.
  • No more re-used maps!! - Says it all really.

I can't think of anything else, but for now this is good.

Very Simply:

A bit of gameplay with Hawke as the Viscount, and his/her downfall as viscount. Then maybe flemeth helps hawke escape for a second time to hunt down the warden and morrigan. You pick if you let them live or die.

Some ideas:

Given that the Free Marches consist of city states, allow us to visit them & connect them to Kirkwall. (*Cough* Sebastian & Starkhaven...ideal stepping stone!) Show how things change there and everywhere based on what happened at Kirkwall.

I for one would love to see a "The Missing Years" content DLC, esp. Year one and the last three years. (Act IV...ahem)

A Companion centered DLC adding more interactions, conversations, quests, LI exclusive interaction, family related content. I'd buy that ASAP. (Same goes for DAO)

A DLC playing as Cassandra who is working with Leliana, the Seekers and the Divine. (I am kinda fond of a Leli/Cass pairing...I admit it!)

A quest line calling the Champion back to Ferelden (With all the trouble Alistair & Teagan hinted at....) to solve some issues and maybe look into the disappearance of the Warden

Or, in my ideal world, combine all of the above into a fully fleshed out Expansion.<3

1. An earlier interview had mentioned a romance DLC. I would like to see something along the lines of interaction between the LI. To be able to come into Hawke's house at a random point to a dinner set for two or open the door to the bedroom and have someone waiting with your bath (How many times does Isabela mention this?). How about laying on the rug in the study reading with whomever and be interrupted by another companion? Anything. It is the simple slice of life that makes the story more immersive and something I would be willing to pay for.

2. Starkhaven. Love to have Sebastian request your help in retaking his castle and building it back.

3. Have NPC from the game join you temporarily on an adventure. Knight Captain Cullen working with you to protect (help escape) mages from first wave of Orlesian templars. (would love to play with him as a companion in the future). Maraas took a mercenary job that goes bad. He is being used as a scapegoat and needs Hawke's help.

4. Chanter board quest. There were only two.  Come on, seriously?

5. To increase multiple playthru value, how about DLCs that can only be used if certain conditions apply. i.e. the Dalish ask for Hawke's aid in gathering Halla so they can leave, but only works if they survive act 3. Hawke's job is to protect the Halla from the hungry dragons trying to make them lunch.

6. If your sibling remains in the city (not a gray warden and did not die) you briefly team up to track down a blood mage that escaped Carver's custody or help Bethany smuggle a mage child back to the parents they were taken from.

7. The little things, such as...Everyone working to clean out the dead bodies from Fenris's mansion. Instead of more outfits for Hawke, how about an option for your companions? What issues take your other companions away? Play thru the situations that make them leave, but stay true to the ending that the LI would stay by their side.

By leaving blanks in the years it really does allow DLC that could flesh out the story more.
