What do I want?
ACT 4
- The Flight from Kirkwall
After the events of the Act 3 Hawke and co flee from Kirkwall to Starkhaven chased my whom ever s/he pissed off at the end. There could be a couple of stops on the way, and maybe a 'short cut' through The Deep Roads (and a chance to meet Grey Wardens looking into that important thing they didn't talk about in the end of Act 2). While in Starkhaven they can get caught up in the Civil war there (regardless of wether or not exiled prince was bought). All the while party members can drop out, (e.g. Varric gets captured by the Seekers, Avaline becomes a Guardsman in Starhaven etc) leaving just Hawke and LI.

Failing that either something like Exiled Prince (DLC that adds a continuous story through Acts 1-3), an enhanced edition (even if it is set dressing on caves so they look different even if the maps are the same like the underground passage in Repentance), or more dwarves.

Idealy what ever it is, just make it something substantial, at least 15-20 hours not the 2-3hr or less.

Act 4.

I would pay good money for Act 4.

Act 3 sucks so bad it leaves a crappy taste in my mouth every time.

Luckily, MoTA heavily hinted on an act 4, what with Hawke's interactions with Tallis and his journal page that he saw her again.

Plus she's semi romancable.

- Act 4 (I wanna deal with running the heck away from Kirkwall and establishing a hiding spot)

- Extra romance and friendship scenarios, etc. Because I'm soppy like that.

- At this point I have to say I haven't played the other dlcs yet. Waiting for the game to be fixed. Anywho: THE MISSING YEARS. If done nicely. Marketed as guiding Hawke through a decade but we only really play something like four or five years in total. Perhaps the full ten would be a bit much but I would like to see a substantial boost to play time. I guess that would be more in-line with an expansion instead of a normal dlc...

- What I don't really want is more items at this stage. Honestly they feel like a bit of a cop out.

- Perhaps a trip to another part of the Free Marches or mayhaps a visit home after the appropriate part of DA2 (i.e. so it doesn't feel weird reminiscing with Aveline)

- Do not want pointless dlc like Leliana's Song. I want to be playing Hawke and only Hawke.

- Perhaps something more to do with the *SPOLIERSPOILER*Ehluvian*SPOILERSPOILER*

- A quest where Anders can truly get rid of Justice or die trying. Obviously after the main game.

- More screen time for Hawke Sibling.

-

Character specific quests. Long ones. I'm talking Lair of the Shadow Broker length and intensity. I'll pay whatever you want. I'll do anything.........ANY THING

this x10000000

-

3) Xenon the Antiquarian expanded, possibly a quest related to his emporium

Yes, please.

- Some sort of link to the specialisations you can pick, maybe. Might be too much of a bother but it could be fun to see how RogueHawke learns the Shadow skills. Perhaps doing something for all the specialisations isn't feasible but it was an idea that came to me,

- I think it would be nice to have a pre-flight from Lothering adventure with Hawke and her Dad. I'm not sure how that'd work of course.

I want two or three more Acts. Act 4, 5 or 6 for an expansion like Awakening.. but longer!

And I like LyndseyCousland Romance Idea.

I would like the Warden and Hawke to meet and just let each other know what is going on and hope to find some way to help each other. This would be a good way to wrap up both of their storylines..since they are not in DA3...would help fans of both but I don't see it for fans of both pcs.

Am I the only one that thinks Hawke and Warden meeting in-game is the most dreadful idea ever? No offense, I just don't think Bioware can pull it off convincingly.

It's impossible to pull off. That's why it's a terrible idea.

The graphics and engine change means you won't import appearance. You'll import race and class. Which means they'll need to design a whole suit of armor (or robes) and something to cover the face. Then they need 6 voice actors and dialogue changes for each Origin (after all a Dalish Elf, City Elf, and Mage Elf would all have very different experiences despite being the same race... and Dalish Elf would need their own VO since Dalish now sound Welsh).

So now we're up to 8 voice actors for the Warden. And they can't talk about Origins stuff because of all the massive amounts of import errors between games and DLC. But also because then the dialouge would expand massively for the Warden which will only increase the distance players felt with their Warden and how BioWare casts and directs this Warden.

And if they leave the Warden speechless then it'll be a joke. There's no way around it. If Ban Teagan, Alistair, or Leliana came with the Warden and did all the talking for this faceless nameless mute then all it'll do is draw attention to the fact that here's a needless cameo.

And what could the quest possibly be here? What does the Warden (Blight Quelling, Parent of a God, and all around roaring success on the battlefield) need Hawke (all around loser and passive protagonist) for? What? The Warden's now a Warden-Commander with an army of super competent warriors solving something in the Deep Roads that we know next to nothing about (other than a few hints in DA2's core game).

Hawke could have a Warden sibling, true... but they're just as likely dead or not Wardens. So that can't be the connection because it'd be terribly weak and stupid for non-Warden Sibling Hawkes.

What's the benefit? You can't have the Warden talk. You can't show the Warden's face. They already can't keep what your Warden did straight with the current import bugs. I don't see a win here.

As others have said the only way it would possibly work is if you played the Warden. And Laidlaw and Gaider both said that we're not going to replay protagonists.

What's the point here, guys? What's the story? Why?

It's easy to just say things. But try to look at how they'd do it. And what the benefit of even attempting those things would be. Warden DLC just wouldn't work. And it's lack of working would only ****** off people. Especially if they had to simplify scripting and cut costs by establishing a canon Warden.

EDIT:

And the Warden had their big goodbye. The fantastic ending for Origins if they didn't agree with Morrigan. And the meh ending in Witch Hunt if they did. There's no more need for a big goodbye to that PC. We've had two already.

I honestly want a DLC where Hawke meets Oghren or Sten or Shale or Alistar. Like Tallis, we get to have them in the party for a while. Why do a comic book with Alistar when a DLC would make so many people happy.

Because unlike the comic, there is no canon in our games. There are so many variable outcomes in our own DA:O stories that cameo DLC will result in:

- Huge uproar from pathetic 'I got better' excuses.
- Or a huge uproar from players who killed that cameo in DA:O and cannot play the DLC.

Didn't stop Oghren from being in Awakenings.   I don't understand why people get upset about that.  Most people play multiple characters.  Do they honestly kill every character in every play through?  I killed Shale once because she turned on me.  Other than that, I didn't kill any other character except Alistar who was to be executed by Anora, but the devs have already said that he gets away and is still alive.  Dragon Age is fun because of its characters.  To never see Zevran or Oghren or Shale or Wynne or Sten again deprives the franchise of its stars and potential stories.

Varric and Oghren together in one game would be fun.  Sten and Fenris?  Isabella and Morrigan? The character interplay is interesting.  And it would be FUN.  Fun shouldn't be hampered because someone gets angry about a character still being alive despite killing off the character in one of their playthroughs.  I find that obsessiveness over continuity to be irritating.

No they didn't.

If you killed Alistair he's dead. If he appeared in your game then it glitched.

I believe it was PAX where Mike Laidlaw said that Alistair was too popular of a character and that out of all of the characters, his death is not canon   Moving forward, at least.  This doesn't count Dragon Age 2, where yes, he doesn't show up if he's dead..  They chose Alistair and Leliana to survive.  I'm fine with this.  I'll let others get bent out of shape over it.

Alistair isn't dead if you killed him? I can buy their excuse for bringing back Leliana, but the whole "sacrificing yourself to kill the archdemon" thing really isn't something you should be able to ignore.

Act IV - PLEASE!!!!!

Main campaign related story DLC. I.E. one about the first year as a merc or smuggler. The missing years with romance content. (Fenris need this badly!)

More stuff like LEGACY involving the Hawke family and their history. The only Warden I'd like to see Hawke meet is Amell btw.

Keep the banter system from LEGACY and MOTA.

Even MORE companion specific quests.

Less fighting, more dialogue related outcomes.

Do NOT want:

DAO&Warden related DLC. Personally, I've had enough of the Wardens for now. Keep them for an expansion or DA3.

DLC like Leliana's Song, Witch Hunt and DS Chronicles. Bleh.

Morrigan DLC. NO NO NO.

Acts IV-V you mean. It never ends in an even number. Don't know why really. And I think that it will happen in an Exalted March expansion set in the different cities of the Free Marches (Starkhaven, Tantervale). It'll probably be promoted after Mass Effect 3's release so until then we have 2 more self-contained DLCs to go.

It's just guess work on my part, but maybe if I type it enough it'll happen.

Something that ties in more with the main game. I personally didn't feel MotA really did, it felt to me like a random side story. Legacy tied in a bit better story wise.

More combat, less running around looking for stuff (compared with MotA).

No more new companions unless it's in an Awakening style expansion that takes place post game.
