I just hope they aren't ridiculously short like the Sebastian DLC. Glad I got that for free from the SE... what a ripoff that would have been to pay for.

Do not care what sort of DLC but I hope and pray that any DA2 DLC will be as good as ME2 Lair of The Shadow Broker DLC. DAO DLC has been truly disappointing - to say the very least.

I would love dlc packs for the following:
1. Anders on a quest to get rid of Justice
2. Sebastian taking back his lands in Starkhaven
3. Pirate ship adventure with Isabela
4. Anything having to do with Alistair
I would add that I would hope with any pack they release that it includes the following:
1. NEW locations, no recycled maps or rehashed places we've been-there-done-that a zillion times like Deep Roads.
2. More conversation with the companions!!!

Well of course I'd like to see more about the characters of Origins, especially Morrigan, since I was told to never ever try Which hunt.
Then I'd like an expansion to see what's up with Hawke and my loved one. Maybe see a bit of what is happening after DA2, since I'm craving to see what happen after.
DLC on DA2 characters would be nice. (Fenris as a slave, Isabella as a pirate etc.)

Witch hunt is a worthwhile investment in my opinion. Why were you told not to try it ?

By the way, is it how difficult coding-wise (is that a word?) to implement stuff from the origins savefile to DA2?

There's a eurogamer interview that asked why Origins events weren't too prominent in DA2. The answer was they were afraid implementing large changes to the story based on a previous games decisions might alienate newcomers to the franchise and using ME2's cameos felt too "shoehorned in", so they didn't.
Not the most pleasing of revelations.
