I agree with all others who say that new DLC should really have new environments though.

There's a eurogamer interview that asked why Origins events weren't too prominent in DA2. The answer was they were afraid implementing large changes to the story based on a previous games decisions might alienate newcomers to the franchise and using ME2's cameos felt too "shoehorned in", so they didn't.
Not the most pleasing of revelations.
I understand that, at the same time, wouldn't it feel unreleaistic that EVERYONE in origins showed up in kirkwall?
Yes, overuse of cameos would have been hackneyed, but it would make sense if different factions behaved differently based on the events of Origins. I understand that it's a fantasy setting and change wouldn't ripple out from Denerim in under a year, but after four years? Seven?
Also, certain people show up even if they should be dead by the Warden's hands.
Edit: Anyway, this is the DLC suggestion thread, not savegame discussion thread, I'll exit stage left.

Either one of a playable Qunari mage, to show more of how the Qunari society functions.
Or a misadventure of some unknown NPC that occurs during the years Hawke is in Kirkwall, and loosely has some comical connection to events that take place(this DLC would obviously be long)

In one of the lines given by Hawke is "After we win the first round is on me." I would like to see the group after they flee the city stop at a small tavern outside Kirkwall. We see a cut-scene with the companions sitting around the table and after a few drinks Varric once again starts boasting about how Bianca did all the work. Hawke and the others goad Varric into telling the tale of how he acquired Bianca.
-This story should be told in a similar fashion with Varric telling in a flashback manner. Companions calling him out at one point or another for his embellishments.
-I want to see a just coming of age Varric who is fascinated about dwarf culture (disillusioned). He even has the trademark Dwarven beard at this point (think how older people look back at their hair in the 70's).
-At first Varric doesn't use a bow but daggers.
-To see Orzamar Varric signs up with Coterie on mission to steal Lyrium. If it were me I would throw in Bartlend goading him into the mission, also assuming a companion role.
-At Orzammar Varric and Bartland are separated from the other Coterie members in the Carta base. From there Varric and Bartland stumble into the leader's personal armory and are found out by guards.
-Varric and Bartland have to lose this fight. In a cut scene we see Varric's blades knocked away and reaches for the Bianca which is setting on a pedestal behind him. Fight continues with Varric and Bianca.
-After the fight Bartland comments on how no self-respecting dwarf uses a crossbow. Varric makes a comment about how dwarf culture ain't all that great (seeing the personality of Varric we see in the game.
-For the rest of the game Varric and Bartland have to fight their way out, the rest of the Coterie abandoned them.
-Once out of Orzamar Varric stops by a lake, upon seeing his reflection he takes out a small knife and shaves off his beard. Ending the scene we see the brothers walk off and Varric attaching Bianca to his back.
I'll leave it up to you to figure out why he calls his bow Bianca. We seriously need to know more about the best weapon in the game. Basically I want to also see Varric become the Varric we all know and love.

It could include more references to the King / Queen of Ferelden, such as the Orlesians mentioning that they have a weak king if you put Unhardened Alistair on the throne alone or that the nobility is weak without it's Chancellor if you picked Chancellor and the Warden was the real power of the throne.
If you want to follow the framed narrative aspect, it could be covered through the telling of a captured Orlesian Deserter who is a person of interest as he explains that he's seen the Champion after the completion of the game.
Completion of the DLC, if you follow the way it works in Origins and grant items for new playthroughs, could maybe give optional Orlesian uniforms to a few companions / Hawke?

I don't want armor/weapons/gear/etc, I got a load of that and I'd honestly rather get my stuff through gameplay. I don't want a bunch of new characters, there's still so much I don't know about those that were my companions. I don't want more copy pasta maps.
What I DO want:
Something that builds on the DA2 story or the DA2 characters. Such as: something that takes place somewhere in all the skipped years, perhaps. Or something that details the backgrounds of your companions, since for the most part we never got to really ask any of them ABOUT their backgrounds.
I don't even mind if it's in/around Kirkwall, so long as it's not completely re-used identical maps.
What I REALLY want is something that shows me the results of my choices at the very end of DA2. I know, though, that would be difficult, with so many different choices able to be made and so many possible outcomes (and deaths). But I still really really want it. I really want to play through it and experience some of it instead of just importing my save into DA3. Not gonna happen, I'm sure, but this girl is gonna dream it, a lot!

Some sort of plot expansion with more varied areas.
Something like this is most likely the only sort of DLC I'll pay for. New content is always nice, but if it just involves running around the same areas in Kirkwall I'll likely pass.
I'll agree with that. I was sorely dissapointed to find out that 90% of the game takes place in the main city. If the DLC isn't an expansion that comes with a small town and a ton of cool foresty or enteresting places to venture then theres no use to even make dlc.

More conversation with the companions, right now it feels like I know very little about them. Also the option to visit Carver/Bethany at the Gallows should be present, feels strange that you would not visit your brother/sister in 3-6 years…

1. The city of Starkhaven, so infuriated over the mage rebellion, unleashes a full scale invasion on Kirkwall. Would be nice seeing one of the other big cities in the Free Marches.
2. New companions are always welcome. How about more female romantic interests? A Qunari would be awesome too. And definitely another Mage.
3. The Warden makes some sort of cameo or some hint of what happened in Witch Hunt is made.
4. Wouldn't mind some more companions from Origins and Awakening making an appearance (and even joining your party). What ever happened to the Mage elf from Awakening that went into the Deep Roads to look for her sister?
5. A DLC on Sandal would be interesting. Is he a dwaf mage? An old god? A crazy dude?
6. More dialogue for companions inserted into the game. This is the main strength of Dragon Age outside of the story itself. Party dialogue and party banter.
7. A full on expansion, like Awakening, would be epic. I wouldn't even mind a couple of those while we wait 2 years for Dragon Age 3.
Honestly, if DLC for DA2 can live up to the quality of DLC for ME2, then it will be awesome. Story focused. Would love to dig deeper into the lore and know more of the plot Flemmeth has in mind. And what that Sandal prophecy means, if anything. And where Hawk disappears to and why. And what of Morrigan's baby?
I agree with other people, no new weapons or armor, but new creatures, like a race of 20 foot tall giants or fifty foot trolls, definitely welcome. I think someone mentioned continued sibling adventures...I think that's an awesome idea too. I liked the character of Bethany especially and Carver wore on me. Anything Varric related is awesome.
Kirkwall is right by the ocean...a ship adventure? Giant sea creature? Surfing? I don't know, just something that takes advantage of this. And definitely some stories that take place within the time gaps in DA2, not to mention add-ons that take place after the game. Also, I know its a little thing, but why not let me customize Hawke's mansion? You can sort of customize Shepherd's cabin in Mass Effect 2. Little details.

I agree also, and I'd go one better. If my sister was kidnapped I wouldn't settle for just a visit, I'd be finding a way to free her. So I'd say let that visit be the start of a quest that results in getting her out of there, and back on the team! Whether its doing a favor for the templars that they have to pay back with her freedom, or just sneaking in there and killing whichever guards are responsible for keeping her in there, or something else altogether, any method would be fine with me, its the result that counts

It would also be cool, if you do go down the armour path, to actually include alternate costumes for Hawke's companions. Again, there are different ways of doing this; you could simply have them as costume packs, like Mass Effect 2 (I think it's more justifiable to do direct content delivery with this idea since it's not just another set of platemail in a sea of platemail). You could have them involved in a story mission which involves a change of clothes for some reason - like the ME2 Kasumi DLC and how you get to keep the evening wear after the mission. I suppose you could also include them as findable items in another piece of DLC. I think most people would agree the 2nd idea is the best.
I'm afraid I can't really suggest anything related to the main plot since I'm only at the start of Act 2.
Yes! That's a great idea. I thought of things like this when I was reading the official guide last night and saw a picture of a kraken (or something similar) in the opening pages. Giant sea creatures scare the crap out of me, but in a good way.Kirkwall is right by the ocean...a ship adventure? Giant sea creature?

Well, I'd say a DLC expansion (similar to Awakening) that picks the story up where DA2 left off, but I'm guessing the plan is for the continuation of the story to be for DA3. So in that case maybe a DLC continuing the Morrigan storyline from Origins or about Flemeth. I'd love something on Flemeth, she is the most interesting character from both games so far.
This, this.
I'd LOVE something related with Flemeth or Morrigan, though I think their roles are going to be expanded even more in DA3.
Some other quests for Hawke would be nice.
I'm not too interested in DLC like Leliana's Song, they're ok I guess...but I prefer to expand the story of my character. Buuuuut I wouldn't complain if there's something about Merrill or Isabela.
I vote for an expansion a la Awakening, most of all.
And also...maybe a cameo of the Warden (if Morrigan appears by chance), more dialogue, Sandal's story (seriously).
Or...if you're going to make weapons or items, then I'd like pranks or NUG BOMBS.

A cool story I would like to see is a non evil douche tevinter mage who grew up there but left cause he fears his own country, but doesnt like how the chantry runs else where, someone who wants to find a better middle ground. you can help or hurt the person.
Oh and more to do with elves, I like the elves
