Expanded Prologue DLC – The fall of Lothering
Set during the period of time when Hawke and or Carver return from Ostagar. Expand the story of Hawke’s family as they escape from Lothering.
Certain actions and decisions made during this DLC change the outcome of family members later on in the game. Eg Change some attitudes and add a chance to change a no win scenario.
Awakenings style Expansion
Strong story covering Hawke’s travels post Kirkwall
“More is more” content – no more excessively recycled zones / maps.
Decisions having an effect on the world around Hawke and allowing upgrades and improvements to town’s cities, houses and so on.
Possible exploration of the places beyond the fade by using the Eluvian.
Hawke may encounter Morrigan, the Warden and their son while exploring the beyond. (Depending on decisions made in Witch Hunt DLC)
More details on Flemeth and her role in the events that are to come.
Honouring the Champion – DLC
Scaling and reusable champion’s armour, weapons and other items that are acquired during a full play through of Dragon Age 2.
Improvements to the Staff of Parthenon including scaling, better stats, weapon damage and an option to change to type of damage the weapon deals.
The rumours of Kirkwall – DLC
Expand the backgrounds of the Champion’s companions by adding more conversation options and allow players to find out a great deal more about those that aided the champion of Kirkwall.
Agree with all these, especially the first and last ones.
One of the bonus points of DA2's main story was the fact that it actually made it credible and logical for your character to go off and do sidequests. DAO and ME1 and ME2 all had this uber-villain you had to stop as soon as possible, so stopping off to do wander about delivering stuff for people always seemed to me to be slightly off.
With DA2, you not only have the inclination, but the timeframe. All the companions are brilliantly fleshed out, but you spend 10 years with them, so why not have more quests and fun with them? They should be getting drunk, having fun, growing up, settling down etc.
Other DLC I wouldnt mind seeing
- more advanced character customiser - I want my beard looking right!
- more companion changes (costtumes etc) with time jumps
- more romance options and quests.
- a few more out of Kirkwall exploration trips.
One rule I hope gets followed is that our companions are involved in the DLC. For DAO and ME2, a lot of the DLC had our companions not speaking, or not being involved in decisions, not commenting where they would have, or a new set of characters entirely shoehorned in. This meant they felt separate from the main game, not really integrated.
