I would personally have to give Dragon Age 2 a 6 or 7/10. The game is way too buggy, recycles maps, ignores imports, and the Third Act is a trainwreck. Why does the game take place over 10 years? The time jumps make the game make no sense.

The combat, while dumbed down a lot, was fun in a hack and slash sort of way. I also liked most of the companions and just wished they were fleshed out more. The Qunari were very interesting and most of the side quests were pretty good.

Overall a disappointment. DA:O was a solid 9/10 only held back by its slow pacing and poor graphics. After the Mass Effect games and DA:O I'd come to expect more than this lackluster effort.

8/10, the gameplay is improved(on the consoles) but the recycled areas feel incredibly rushed.

there was no bugs. If you don't know what is a bug, please offer yourself Two Worlds 1.

I agree with the recycled areas part.

A 7/10, 7.5. It's a good game, but it's average and sorely lacking. It feels too rushed, but there are some points where the game shines.

It's a shame it couldn't have gotten another year or two in development, it might have been quite something then. As it is though, it's merely average, enjoyable, but average.

Hopefully after many of the glitch and bug fixes and any future DLC DA2 will stand, if a little poorly, next to other Bioware games reasonably well in comparsion.

5/10

I wanted to like it so bad. I anticipated it for a long time. But in hindsight, the time I had to wait wasn't nearly long as usual for a game and that's probably the problem. Nearly everything about the game seems rushed, sloppy, or a shadow of its original self. And the PC release feels particularly insulting. Maybe the 'fast-paced' combat works better for consoles, but to me it's a travesty and the tactics are truly gone for the most part. Obviously the gameplay of Origins was superb but what truly kept me hooked to it was the wonderful storylines, characters, and humor. Very little of that magic to be had here.

I had actually started collecting toys, books, etc... in anticipation that this could be a long-lived franchise. But it looks like it ended with Origins.

9/10 on PC

I would give Origins an 8/10.

+

Better combat, story and characters. I liked how your copanions form friendships with other companions. I'm glad they didn't stick to the cliché epic storyline that is overdone in high fantasy. I never really cared for the story in Origins. I also like how load times are now 2 seconds instead of 2 minutes. Imrpoved music and sound design. Better framerates on old hardware.

Copypasta, not enough customization for the party, enemy waves

Between a 8 and a 8.5
Solid bioware game. Not one of the bests but its still a solid game.

Uh, depends. On a less inflated scale where 5 is average, 10 is near impossible to reach and 9 is reserved for the best games ever made I would have to give Dragon Age 2 a 7/10.

On the typical, more inflated reviewer scale I don't think the 8's or 80-ish % is undeserved.

8.5/10 so far. The reused maps for dungeons and caves is lazy but for 1.5 years in development..what else can you expect.

Excessive reuse of area.

Atmosphere and pacing is a bit off. Does not feel rushed... feels lacking.

It is great. It looks good, combat is like tailor-made for consoles and lots of fun (especially with a mage), and the storytelling elements are great - I'd say at least 9/10. The recycled areas break immersion but are not game-breaking. Overalll the biggest positive surprise since Sacred 2.

I haven't finished the game yet, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I read the negative feedback on the boards before playing, and didn't have high hopes. The storytelling is still fantastic (I read all the lore, and really enjoy the content of the cut scenes), and I find myself as emotionally involved as in DA:O.

My only complaint are the frequent freezes, especially during cut scenes. Hopefully they can get this fixed soon.

9/10 I would have given a 10/10 if it werent for a few "key" bugs. Absolutly the best storied adventure I have played in a long while.

7ish for the game but it drops to 6 for the BUGS. (Hawke slowdown bug is a game killer - ouch). I miss most everything dropped from DA:O and would rate that one as a 9.

I am finding it increasingly difficult to finish the game and I would not recommend it to others.

7 or 8 out of 10. I enjoyed it greatly......Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II have given 2 of my xboxes the red circle of death.....don't know why..maybe just bad luck.

I wish there was variety to houses, basement/dungeons and caves. I encountered a few bugs (one where Aveline couldn't die in a battle with a boss, and a couple side quests wouldn't unlock--after my play through I even read the guide, and couldn't get them to work (one was the kidnapped girl on wounded coast).
Without spoiling...I'd just say the no win scenario given to us before the Qunari finale with a certain companion didn't make any sense (I don't think it did for paragon, grey, or scoundrel). I couldn't rationalize it with any type of hawk unless you were romancing or the lowest type of scumbag...even then it was unrealistic to me.

7/10 on PC. Still beats the pants off many other games but did not live up to my expectation of bioware quality.

9 with patch 10. and its not me being a fanboy its one of the few games that drew me in so well. Charactors had depth and it taking over 10 years was great it made it feel more real in romances as you actually know the charactor not just for 3 weeks...

Absolutely loving it, but despising the following:

- Area recycling
- Tiny text
- Lack of Item descriptions & stupid trash loot

Without those it would be nearly full marks.
