The story was great.
It has it's faults. I do wish you have more impact on the city with your actions. ie Like a choice of destroying the street gangs or taking them over.
More depth with your companions.
I noticed some bugs here and there and some of the game did appear rushed a bit. Sort of like KOTOR 2, though that wasn't done by Bioware just helped on it.

I enjoyed all of the gameplay changes. The core of DAO is still there, for those who want it. I, though, am much happier with DA2's combat. The same tactical play as DAO, without the terrible animations and transitional lags of DAO combat.
I prefer a voiced character, and love the conversation wheel. They were smart to introduce this.
I was skeptical going in, but the graphics were much, much better than those of DAO. This was a solid-looking game. It won't blow any minds, but neither will I have to convince new players to excuse the crappy graphics, as I did with DAO. I was really impressed with how much better custom Hawkes look in comparison to the Warden. The faces are much, much better.
I think the quests in this game were the most believable, well written quests I've ever played in an RPG. That's saying something, after all these many years and many games.
The story was amazing. Grappling with a no-win situation like this game's climax was pretty intense. There were some really gripping moments in DA2. The writers fully delivered on my expectation of a well written story.
The myriad glitches really are inexcuseable. My first playthrough featured 5 freezes, and several broken side-quests. Some people haven't even been able to play the game at all. How the heck did it reach our hands in this state? What happened to quality control?

It feels like the entire campaign of DA:O Orzammar x20 hours.
Pick up quest, go to another level of city, kill 15 trash enemies, go back and get another and do it again over and over and over and over.

I enjoyed the story and the multiple companion quests, among other things.

As I see it, they put it on a ton of effort on different things, and I really want to keep playing because of the characters, but... To avoid a rant, I'll just say a lot of it feels wasted on me because too much of it feels rushed to me.

-I also didn't like how time jumps were handled. If your going to set a game over a 10 year span, then I want to play more than three years in it!
That's my main pet peeve. Really liked this game Bioware. Thank you.

the reused environments is my only complaints from the game, I loved the story their were parts that really brought me down (mommy, bethany, damn that anders) but imo thats what made the story good , love the new graphic style, loved my party, not a single character I didnt like. And the game play improvements, I even like the new map except the small amount of random fights. I enjoyed my Hawke and the decisions I made. Surprised to see many people werent feeling this game.

DA2, 4/10
No sense of exploration, re-used areas x100, much less care put into the details of the world (Origins had descriptions for every item set), characters are less memorable, combat is worse and more tedious with the needless exclusion of the tactical camera and the overuse of the wave mechanic. I'm not sure how many sequels have taken a step back in so many different areas.

If it wasn't for a generally agreeable cast of companions, a 2nd Act that was a bit more focused and the fact that this game rides on the coattails of a, in most ways, superior predecessor, DA2 would be a below average experience for a supposed AAA title and the price tag that follows with it.

DA2 - 7.5
I'd have scored it lower if I didn't love the franchise.

Bottom line, I don't much like the combat, and most of the game is combat.

I am extremely surprised with how many 8s and 9s there are in this forum. This game doesn't come close to being any good. I cant even count how many things are wrong with this game. I feel ripped off and cant even get a refund because i was stupid enough to trust day 1 DLC and use the code. This game doesnt come close to Origins or Balders Gate. Rushed is an understatement and i am tired of the people feeling sorry for bioware and saying " you dont know what it takes to make a game." I do know what it takes and this was slapped together and we as consumers have to pay the 60 dollars for a drink coaster. 4/10
In your opinion it wasn't good, sheesh! Other people find it fantastic. Me included.

Obvious things need to be fixed, but that's not for this thread.
Story was good, combat I liked but that's all I can say positively.
Now if they release a patch and it fixes the main problems, then good.
The reason I was pissed is cause I was expecting my save file to have more of an impact and connect the world to origins and it didn't.
