So, Thedas has been torn to pieces by the war between the mages and the templars. All the armies will most likely be out, trying to restore order. The lands are in no fit shape to retaliate to outside attacks, so there are a few threats who would be left out of this madness who might seek to conquer all of Thedas during it.

I highly doubt DA3 will be entirely about solving this war, more likely about a threat that spawned because of it.

1) The Qunari
Obviously, the Qunari are at least contemplating the idea of invading Thedas. They could easily land upon the shores and take advantage of this conflict to secure Thedas for their own. Also, they could be kind of annoyed that the Arishok died, if he died.

2) The Tevinter Imperium
As they are ruled by mages and do not have Templars, they will not be a part of this conflict. The return of the Imperium could be brought about if they rush in to kill the Templars and the leadership of the nations of Thedas. This is my personal favourite, as we know so little about them.

3) Morrigan and Flemeth
Their plots are unresolved and they will almost certainly want to take part in the great battle to come. I can imagine that they might have ambitions or plans to do with it.

Any ideas? I think that DA3 will quite possibly feature one of these, if not all of these as major plot points.
