I liked Hawke a lot better than my Origins character (Flame Shield!)

I do think Hawke has one advantage over BioWare's other voiced protagonist in that Hawke actually has a personality and she has to self-reflect. I loved that this was put in and that Hawke has to deal with stuff pertaining to herself, not just be a problem-solver for everyone else. This is a big thing, which I hope the various BioWare teams will start learning from - a voiced protagonist *needs* a personality and they need to have qualms and conflicts of their own, that aren't necessarily just gameplay challenges.

Agreed.

They did that with Shepard in Lair of the Shadow Broker. At the end you can have a reunion with Liara and she asks you about how you're doing and you can stotic, sad, or show doubt that you can ever stop the Reapers.

It's a small touching scene that helped so much with touching base with Commander Shepard. Shepard's a leader and cannot show doubt..ever...but there with an old friend. It showed.

Liar of the Shadow Broker is the best BioWare DLC to date. Here's hoping Arrival continues that.

...and whatever DA2 has, of course. :D

hmm I think the reason that everyone loves Hawke more is the exact reason I loved my warden so much more. The warden was an empty character before my imagination filled the cracks and created a story, a motivation for her. She is a beloved part of me as all character I create for things. But Hawke was already filled and my imaginiation couldnt create Hawke the way I wanted and so I didnt connect as well in the story because I felt like I was watching and not becoming Hawke.... ut each to their own.
I also prefered the silence and old conversations because I new what I was saying and the tone I thought it was in (sometimes it didnt work but then in life not everyone gets sarcasm either) plus I could persuade ppl. :) But thats a outdated method I guess and I accept in grudgedly

I like them both a great deal. With the Warden it was me who read the lines (Yes, out loud) and it was a blast. With Hawke I had wonderful VA and it was also blast. Wonderful people, Hawke and my Canon Warden.

I loved lady hawke. Great voice and once I could melt down her nose a bit in mods she was beautiful. Def best part of the game.
