I don't know if this has been asked before (can't see to find the search option on these forums)
But if you import your Human Mage warden save, do they reference him/her as Hawke's cousin or anything along those lines at all?

You are Cousins. It is mentioned a few times.

When is it mentioned? I didn't catch any on my first completionist playthrough (or I wasn't listening/talking to the right people?)

Ok, thanks.. Then a second playthrough with importing my Mage Warden could be worth it

How exactly are they cousins? Is he Gamlen's son/daughter or something?
Considering Gamlen frittered his family's money away on hookers I wouldn't be surprised. xD

There's probably another part of the family you never meet. For all we know Mama Hawke's dad had a few brothers lol gotta love extended family.

Your mother says it is a distant cousin who was the Hero of Ferelden. I think it is something like 2nd cousins or such. She talks about how the young cousin was sent to the circle, etc.
There were a couple of other times it is mentioned as well but do not fully remember.

Leandra says her cousin, Revka, had mage children and that one of them is the Warden.

Here's another butt kicker IMO you're fleeing this whole time from A. The Blight B. Templars...AND YOUR COUSIN IS THE HERO OF FERELDEN...and potentially the Teryn of Gwaren if you requested title/riches or consultant to king/queen if you stayed by there side...and you still decide to live in Kirkwall? I don't think making them tied to the mage warden was necessary and adds nothing IMO

lol since both the Magi Warden and Hawke are from the Amell family, it makes you wonder what exactly is in their genes that breeds such epic people.

Hawke struck me as the type of person that would prefer to get things on his/her own and wouldn't really care for a handout, unless absolutely necessary. And, I've never had Bethany in my group, but Carver will pipe up if you talk about going somewhere else when you first get to Kirkwall, and says "We are not putting mother through that." I think your mother is supposed to be the main reason that you don't leave Kirkwall.Rhayth wrote...
