the "faq" has this to say:
"You cannot update your email address on this site - you would need to go to profile.ea.com to manage the email address associated with your EA account. Note that this would change it for all EA games and sites!"
But here is the thing:
The EA profile already has the *correct* email address, but this site does NOT, and upon updating/saving the EA profile it does NOT change the information here DESPITE the express statement above.
WHY THE HELL IS THIS SO DAMN COMPLICATED?
Reeally, all I'm trying to do is esssentially give you MORE MONEY, and yet through a minor error on my part (.net here instead of the correct .com), I'm in virtual limbo.
Frankly I don't even understand all these multiple accounts to make what should be a simple purchase. Personally I think it's integration to the point of stupidity - and it has me looking for a "smilee" that shows me cornholing this entire process.
updating email..

Logging out and logging back in on this website should update your email address.

Thank you for the reply, but unfortunately your suggestion either hasn't worked, OR isn't being displayed properly on the "editing profile" page.
I read another email prob. thread (..something that didn't come up with my original search), and it suggested that the person has another email account with EA.
..So I tried EA with the .net version of my email and oddly it is there. I say "oddly" here because I don't remember *ever* creating this account. Anyway..
When I go to EA account manger to "update" my Info (and obviously my email), it returns this:
"The EA account (email address) you entered is already in use."
Um, yeah - I know, I just created it today. Principally however it won't let me change it.
Is there some way I can wipe-out this account to then set a new account to the correct ".com" EA account? OR perhaps something else that might work?
Thanks.

You could change the email address in the .com account to something different and then change your .net account email to be .com. This will ensure any DLC you have registered to this account will stay with it.
Alternatively if you have NOT registered any game codes (DLC) you could delete this account from this site and re-register with your .com email address. This will not delete your EA account.

Thank you!
That worked, sort of.
I"ll explain the process in case others have similar problems..
1st: Changing the correct EA account email (but the one that is NOT linked to this site), to a completely different email:
Once you are in the EA account manager select the red "update my info" button
You only need to change the information *before* the "@" sign on your email account, IF like me you try to change simply the .com portion IT NEEDS TO BE TO A RECOGNIZED STANDARD. In this case I tried several times with no avail because it was just gibberish, BUT when I used the ".org" standard it accepted and altered the profile.
2nd: Change the INCORRECT email account that is linked to this bioware social networking site, to the correct account.
In my example I could now change the account for its ".net" to ".com".
3rd: LOG OUT of this site via the last selection tab to the upper LEFT of this websites page.
4th: LOG back in..
Logging back in to this site can be a bit more complicated.
It's possible (or even likely) that your web browser will list your:
Profile name here: In my case "CScottG", and
Your "asterisk-outed" password below it.
Unfortunately this won't work again.
What you need to do to log back in, in this case is:
***I THINK THIS IS CORRECT BUT I"M NOT POSITIVE***: Your user name should instead use your Correct email account, or rather the one you changed it to in step *2* above.
THAT should get you through the process (..and hopefully not take so much time to correct).
***IF IT ISN'T CORRECT***: Then it's your OLD incorrect email it wants. (..for me that was ".net") Try this only after trying the newly corrected email. I'm sorry that I didn't remember this step precisely - but this process should get you through it, and at worst it will only deny you on the first try.
