I think the fact that you could lose her in Act 2 and she never comes back puts a lot of appreciation for her to death. She never came back in my playthrough, so I never saw her develop. And I assume she didn't because she didn't have more than 50% in either direction.

Yeah. I started to think "WTF, bella?" when she left me, but the moment she came back in the room, with the book in her hands...She wasback at my side and remained there as BF of my FHawke

If you're romancing her the STD scene is different. As in, she's not the one going to Anders to get cleaned up.

When i play games like this i like to play as myself, making choices in game that i think i would outside of game. That being said, i had no romance option period outside of Issy. There is Merrill, but she is stupid, a blood mage, and is willing to put everyone in the world at risk for her selfish and stupid, obsession, which she would not put aside even at my request. (plus she looks like a little kid and acts like a four year old.)
I have to say at first i thought Issy was just a shallow character. As the game went on her character... fleshed (hehe) out nicely. Her trust issues, being afraid of love, then coming back with the idol at the end was just completely epic. She is very sexy, she has a great attitude, really out there and whoever doesnt like it can take a hike. Very cool.
It really hit me hard when she wanted to screw zehvran, but i was happy when she respected me enough to refrain at my behest. She actually in a lot of ways seems like a very real character. (i know pirate captain whoooor yea real life stuff lol) In many of her actions and her personality she demonstrates a very real character, the wounded woman keeping everyone at bay, and fulfilling her needs in a sexual way as to avoid intimate contact.
IDK, good stuff, i wish there was another character for heterosexual male to romance besides just her or the stupid, demon loving fairy looking girl.
Its actually funny period i was looking around the threads and i see almost nothing about her. I think that i am pretty alone in not having homosexual tendencies. Either that or many more women play this game than men. Guess bioware knows what they are doing since the forums seem to reflect that i am in the minority. Every line Isabela speaks is solid gold. The biggest laughs I've had with her comes mostly from her banter with Aveline.

I didn't care much for Isabella initially but the more I hear of her the more I like her. The ****ing with Aveline in Aveline's quest in act 2 was pure gold and her talk to Fenris about her stance of the mage busines - that she just thinks everyone has the right to be free and make their own choices made me a total fan.
