I thought my 9500GT could do DirectX 11, but the game won't let me choose Very High Detail.  Any reason why not?

The 9500 is now four years old, which is verging on obsolete. It was first sold as the 8600 GT, and then as the 9500 GT, and nVIDIA didn't have Dx11 on anything at all until a year ago, when the GTX480 was released. You must be thinking of AMD's Radeons, which have had Dx11 rather longer than for the one year (September, '09, so a year and a half, plus a little bit).
