Yes to both of those.
Being a primal mage without any Maker's Sigh's going in against the rock wraith.
Anyone in melee range who isn't a tank dying almost instantly.
Slow mage casting animations getting in the way of successful CCC.

No kidding. Got to cut off that flourish animation after the fourth 'pew. Especially annoying on something like a dragon when the status effect is only up for a split second.

Assassins... assassins... ASSASSINS!
God damit! Steal your potions, re-stealth ever 5 secs and backstab 50~100% of your characters life everitime. There's absolutely no way to defeat them early in game at nightmare without runing around like an idiot and using cheap tactics to exploit the AI movement.
I was trying to do Anders recruitment mission on nightmare and that Templar Lieutenant + Templar Hunter proved to be one of the toughest battles in game... sigh...

okay, i have to reiterate.. as annoying as assassins are, i completely understand their tactical value to the gameplay in Nightmare.. this is NOT me QQing, demanding someone pay for having the idea. Assassins are the PERFECT opportunity to work on your CCC's and crowd control. without a good handle on either, you're going to see why you shouldn't play cards with Qunari, Elves, and Dwarves again... and again... and again......
oh, and Mushoop... i realized after my second attempt that primal wasn't working.. and that cold spells actually worked rather well. then i realized i'd have to respec half of my party to properly utilize CCC's and AoE for the add phases. -sigh-
only real method i ever found that worked against Decimus (my main blood mage complaint) was to kill all the adds he spawned first with tempest, let everyone else get hemo sniped, and just run around, hitting him with stonefist or petrify whenever he'd pop up, just to keep him from hitting Hawke. without the other three to leech health from, he died pretty fast. XD

You know what works really against all assassins, A spirit/entropy/force mage thank god for pull of the abyss and gravatic ring then proceed to own them with tempest and storm of arrows man those rogues dont even have a chance to move.

though now that i think about it, i find it annoying how... underwhelming everything but the blood magic sustained mode is in the blood mage specialization.. their Hemo one shots my entire party... mine makes them feel all tingly. and i can control a normal mob for 10 seconds... which usually only consists of them running around like a headless chicken for the duration. GG. Am i the only one that's noticed/thought this? or am i just delusional? Considering all the NPC blood mages in the game can raise the dead and summon demons, i'd *hope* i could do something similar.. say, summon a demon to fight for me for a few seconds, and at the end of the effect, have it turn on me as well, in true demon fashion. just a thought..

I was hoping that if you trained the blood mage tree you would be able to do the whole grab demonic hand from the fayde and rip your enemy apart like in the trailer but no was very disappointed so during my playthrough i just wasted my spec point on the blood mage tree just for the extra health never got a blood mage skill.

The problem I really have with Assassins is that even with TONS of HP and STR/Fortitude, and the Defender Knockback immunity talent, I STILL get knocked back by their backflip thing, so when I get like, 4 or them near me, and try to taunt before they stealth so they don't kill my party, I get chain knockbacked and don't fire off the taunt.

i tried to save bethany with a rogue in nightmare.
I gave up halfway in the deep roads about the nightmare part. using 2 char we are not used to, without maker's sigh in the deep road = not good.
Especially as i had 3 range and a DW rogue as main char. Quite impossible to keep them alive.
