Are there any? So far all I've seen are resistance and armor.

Where do you get that one? Which act etc.

Valiance runes are available part way through act 3. Contrary to the description only one rune counts so put that on your gauntlets (or boots if you don't have a gauntlet spot) as it has the same effect anywhere while armour/resistance/defence runes are much higher values elsewhere on your armour.

Indeed, you'll want to put that Valiance rune in your gloves or boots since the amount of resistances you get from ward runes are greatest on the chest and helm slots.

Also note that having Fire Warding rune on your tank, possibly on everyone else who can wear it, will make the Bone Pit dragon aswell as Deep Roads dragon much more manageable in Act 1. That gives some use for the early rune slots even without having 'very good' runes to put into them.

Just a little bit of searching would have gotten you the answers, and a little bit of patience would be nice too.
Here, however
Bioware's own website, please read about the Blood Dragon armor
http://dragonage.bio...fo/bonus_items/
As for the patching on PS3, as I do not play on the console, I do not have the answer for that. Searching should however get you the answer.

I missed the Valiance rune some how. Exactly when did you find it cause the only rune items that got me excited were the weapon runes Devastation and Primeval Lyrium.

Locations here.
I thought "oooh, devastation" and was mildly dissappointed with +8% damage. The Primeval Rune was nice, but again, not great.
Never used sandals special rune because I was waiting for that kick ass weapon that it would be just right on - which it turns out doesn't exist and I missed the qunari sword with the killing blow and couldn't get the vague blade because I couldn't get that quest. Up yours Nataniel Howe, I'm glad I executed you.

I inscribed a valiance rune per character armor and defense runes on all the other slots. If your defense is initially at 5%, adding those runes can bump it up a lot.

Primevil (33% haste in a dagger) rune is the single best item in the game for a rogue. It depends on which class you are playing. I put sandal's rune in Bianca.
