Wow that was the most fun I've had all game.  Talk about a mega load of battles.  That was a blast.  The entire trip up was non stop throw everything at ya fun.

Some good opportunities for some teaching videos if anyone is interested. 

Let see you get a massive spider, mature dragon, dragons, revenant, arcane horrors, shadow assassins, mages, a load of skeleton archers, and skeletons.  What could be more fun.

  My 3 mages and Isabel handled it fairly well.

Yeah, I had a lot of fun there on hard. There is also a new cave on the "ground floor" where one of the evil tomes is that has this long gauntlet of undead baddies you have to get through.

thats one of the few battles on nightmare i cant beat yet. now that i have a brittle/assasinate combo ill need to try it again.

I remember that. You get absolutely SMOTHERED by demons. It was one of the only battles in the game that took multiple attempts. Never actually killed me... but only because I re-loaded before it had a chance to.

Yea that was good battle.  I ended holding up at the base of the small staircase, trigger some and hold out and then do it again.  You just get totally swamped.

I'd like to see someone solo that.


That entire map was fun going through there.

Hah, I remember having to pull out every trick I could to beat that fight.  Desire demon, a billion shades, Arcane Horror that kills your whole group in 2 seconds with 1 spell, Revenant, and I think a handful of Rage demons.  So much fun (as well as desk punching).

The oddest one I've had was a quartet of mages in Hightown at some point in Act III. after coming out of one of the mansion missions I think, they were crazy... ten seconds into the fight and Varric and Anders are both dead and Aveline and Hawke are having their health stripped away like nobodies business. Really crazy. The blood mages have a move which casts an orangey red haze around the character and bam their health is gone faster than you can react.

yeah the mages in this game are pretty dumb. i wish they casted the same spells that our characters could cast like they did in origins. it would be cool if they buffed and healed your enemies and actually debuffed your party. would make taking dispel magic in warrior templar spec and spirit spec worth getting.

That entire map was fun going through there.

i was able to pull a bunch of shades and a rage demon down the stairs so the rest of the adds would not come, but they still keep spawning, so i ended up with a second battle that had 10ish shades, a bunch of abominations, a another rage demon, a desire demon, a revenant and an arcane hooror.

not to diminish the battle, but mighty potion and arcane poison and it lasted about 5 mins
