Im playing the campaign for the first time, and I'm to the part where Bishop is suppossed to escort the player to the Village of Ember (where he joins your party for the first time). The only problem: he's dead. When the Githyanki attacked the Sunken Flagon, he died fighting them. Thus, he is unable to join my party. Help?

Additional Info: I left the module and came back, he was still not there. I can make it to the Village of Ember without him, but I cannot progress because the cutscene won't play without him in my party. I do not have any saves prior to his death (yeah, using one save slot was a bad idea...)

do i need to restart the entire campaign? Ive logged 32.5 hours of playing time to get here, so i would prefer that i didn't...

thanks!

I suggest going to a neutral space like the Flagon, and if Bishop doesn't pop there when you enter

go into 'DebugMode 1' and run

RunScript ga_roster_spawn("bishop", "")

then 'DebugMode 0'

After that, some Q's : Does he show up at yer feet d.e.a.d?
When you exit the Flagon, does his name still show up in the Roster?

If he's a goner but you can add him to your party when exiting the Flagon, click on his portrait, then try this:

RunScript ga_heal_pc(0, 0)

Gluck!

I did that, and he did not appear (even dead), though i did get a message that the script was successfully executed.

I also tried continuing without him, and just manually running the script to play the next cutscene. that just gave me a black screen though (im guessing it tried to play the cutscene but couldnt because Bishop was supposed to speak)

so far, nada. i cant edit the module from the map editor because it saves the entire module in each save. if theres anything else i could try, ill give it a shot.

otherwise, i made a module that gives me massive amounts of gold and XP; im thinking about starting over and just flying through it. only problem there is that i cant seem to start the origonal campaign with a high-level character. highest i can start is at level 14. any advice there?

what you ultimately do is your go, 'natch.

I'm under the assumption it's best to get Bishop back .. try this :

rs ga_roster_add_blueprint("bishop", "co_bishop")

See if he shows up in your Roster when exiting the Flagon. If he does, then try the commands in my post above ( 'rs' is short for 'RunScript' )

(Another one you can try, should probably try this first .. but mehh, whichever gets the game going again :)
rs ga_roster_add_object("bishop", "")

(This command assumes Bishop is 'in the world', the first assumes he is totally incognito. I think he's totally incognito, so go with the first).

good news =]
yes, it would be better to have him back.

I tried everything you recommended, but it didnt work. both scripts are reported as having been run successfully, but bishop still doesnt appear and he still cant be added to my party.

i tried
rs CreateObject(OBJECT_TYPE_CREATURE,"co_bishop",GetLocation("co_grobnar"),FALSE)
but he still didnt appear.
so then i tried
rs ga_roster_remove ("bishop")
rs ga_roster_add ("bishop", "co_bishop")
and he still didnt appear. when i tried to leave the flagon, however, he was listed as being a henchman. i left with him in my party, and the next area took FOREVER to load, and then he appeared next to me. and everything is working as normally! now i can continue with the plot =]

THANK YOU! your help was invaluable to me! much obliged!
