Just finished merrill's mirror image quest and did not give her the artifact, but from what I've been reading on this forum and others it seems that there will be a bug with her third and final quest, my question is: will this happen only if you give her the artifact to fix the mirror?

Also please tell me that her ending is different based on whether you have given her the artifact or not, because of its the same I am calling foul on bioware and their use of the "illusion of choice" if I wanted that there are plenty of jrpgs that offer it, and I own a good number of them .

Oh come on, no body knows? I really find that hard to believe, do find it in your hearts to help a fellow dragon age fan out.

Sadly, how/if you finish the quests doesn't seem to matter. All that matters is on which 'side' you finish with her.

So I'll go through the same events as someone who did give her the artifact? That sucks, and here I thought dragon age 2 would continue on the tradition of bioware rpgs having meaningful choices that affect their plot.
