I have been coasting through DA2, until I got to Brekker in Arlan's Hideaway. This guy has killed my 2 mages, Varric, and tank too many times. What's the strategy for beating this guy? I'm abou to change crew - I'll switch out to a different rogue and tank - but I'm curious what strategies have worked for others.
Brekker is tough

I pulled him back around the corner so the archers would group up and the adds would not spawn behind me (not sure if they spawn behind you because I only did the fight once), I suggest using glyph of paralysis, glyph of repulsion and cone of cold to lock down normals and adds. I also used Petrify and Winters Grasp to lock down the assassins, the focused fired on them. remember to use mind blast/evade if anyone you don't want to pulls aggression. Just make sure you bring Anders, his healing abilities make him almost a necessity.

Thanks, back pain. I changed out my party and beat him. I think I made a mistake maxing out Merrill with her Dalish Pariah skills - she is now pretty useless out there.

WHat difficulty are you on? My party coonsisted of my mage, fenris, varric and anders.
Fight was ****** easy on normal, take out adds, and focus fire on Brekker. o.o

It was on normal. I don't know what was wrong with me. Again, I think it was Merrill. I saw there was a Merrill appreciation thread. I think I'll start an "I Hate Merrill" thread. Merrill sucks in every imaginable way.

The Brekker fight is ridiculous on nightmare, the amount of rogues in that fight is complete bs.
