Whats your most frustrating quest so far/overall?

Mine is when you go into the Fade to save that boy, and throughout the quest I kept losing party members to temptation and I had to kill them, I was like "What the hell how can I go thru this without losing any party members?" so I re-loaded my save and went in with different people, same thing. I had to kill 2 of my party members. At this point I thought because of this quest, I lost party members, but at the end while standing in that womans house I saw all my party members standing in back of me, *phew.

Any quest where I have to take Anders. His DPS is so puny compared to Merrill.

The quests were quite varied which pleased me, so I don't recall seriously hating one. I disliked quests in recycled caves, however.

Yes, them recycled caves are almost like a joke. It seems like a big f**k you from Bioware.

Any quest that sends me back to the Wounded Coast. All scavenger hunt quests, such as the Qunari blades.

Definitely the one where you have to kill all those apostate mages + templar apologists no matter what side you're on. After all the naughty mages I encountered at that point I felt like giving up on them, they sure know how to show their appreciation for someone who's openly supported their cause time and time again.

The Deep Roads when Bethany dies.....and you can do nothing because Anders isn't in your party.

The most difficult fight in the whole game may be the finale to the scrolls..that guy is a beast...nothing compared to that fight. In my play, maybe I wasn't beefed up enough yet. Then I couldn't use resurrect potions...and Aveline couldn't die for some reason.

Herbalist's quests!! F YOU SOL! I felt I got his ingredients purely by chance, and my mistake was taking them on actively instead of passively.

What confused me about that quest was that they said if you killed Feynriel in the fade he'd become Tranquil in the mortal realm, yet you kill your two squaddies and nothing? I probably missed something as it was my first playthrough.

Not a quest, precisely, but there was a trapped room during Isabela's last companion quest in Castilon's Landing that had a few crates behind 3 impassable traps with no discernible way of getting across. It frustrated me to no end.

Does everyone stab you in the back in there? Fenris didn't for me...I was wondering though if it was linked to friendship or if Merill and Isabela are just weak willed.

All that remains.

I didn't even get a NOOOO! moment. But seriously, the writing for that one seems... contrived. WHY can't I hunt down that slippery Orlesian fellow when I find Emeric face down in a ditch? If the slimeball knew she(the lady we find with him when we first meet him) was taken shortly after Hawke left him, why didn't he come to Hawke sooner? So many why's in the quest, I pretty let down by the end of it. Plus any quest to do with Blood Mages I suppose... Who feature quite heavily through the years.

Hawke seems to suffer from a "too late" syndrome throughout the game, always being just too late to save anyone during play, but saving a city of thousands without even trying too hard.

edited to clarify.

The entire arc of Act 3. For story reasons, though.

Aveline can simply walk over the traps. It's a Fort check.

Same with me but if you go back to Darktown whenb the quest startts instead of heading  out with Gamlin you can have Gascard teleport you to the guys lair, where you find out Gascard just wanted to learn all the guys blood mage secrets. You learn this through Gascards speech which is thankfully interpupted by Varric putting a bolt in Gascard's throat.

I'm not really sure why Bioware felt it was necessary to 1. Kill my brother, 2. lock up my sister and 3. Cut off my mother's head and sew it on a corpse. Granted, I was a bit over the mother's constant complaining, but that was a bit extreme.

Lease favorite was the huge dragon and endless dragonlings that just kept spawning over and over and over. I was exhausted from all the running around and it seemed like it took an hour to finally kill everything!

This is exactly the path I had. When Mother disappeared it was "gloves are off the turkey now"(bonus if you know the game :P)  for Hawke.  But my displeasure is that the necromancer did his thing in such a short time. You'd imagine from the moment Bodahn says "She left this morning" it'd be all hands on deck with entire districts being turned upside down by Hawke. But it would seem that the search went on at a leisurely pace, giving the evil mage enough time to do his thing. <_<

trying to win the one on one duel against the arishock (spelling?) with my mage. took FOREVER to finally work and i died at least twenty times to him. if he connected that impale move he'd follow up with another attack and basically two-shot me.

the fight was basically me running around in circles for 20 minutes waiting for my frost spells and crushing prison to come off cool down and using them over and over, the guy must have filled his bags with potions too, its insane.

my most frustrating quest was the saving the noble girl from bandits before they deflower her quest in act 3.  she is supposed to be on the wounded coast, but no quest marker comes up.  the quest doesnt show on the travel map, and when i get there i do not see any bandits except for a bandit leader that spawns after i enter one of the dead ends but is non-interactable.  i must be getting some sort of bug but have no clue how to work around it.
