So I believe this is rather far fetched, what with the significant engine changes between DAO and DA2, but it seems the games are pretty modable and there's a fairly big mod interest in the DAO playerbase.
Seeing as Sten in DAO kinda seemed like a tall, grumpy man with a weird tan and strange hair/eyes, and not a very interesting new race, while imo Qunari in DA2 are one of the few changes I actually do like, I'd think there would be interest in something like this since Sten is so awesome. Nevermind lore, even if Sten's appearance is kinda explained by that he is "special" and born without horns, I get the feeling that's just due to the fact that they revised Qunari in DA2, and that if they had settled on the look in DAO, Sten would be horned. Horns are cool anyhow.
I would imagine that this would be a nightmare to do, at least without animations and secondary textures (armor etc) being completely screwed up, especially in cutscenes, but the fact that several hair styles, some (mage) robes and some weapons seem at least semi-ported from DAO to DA2 by Bioware with minimal changes, I get a faint glimmer of hope. So is this something that is faintly possible or am I just dreaming?
Porting Qunari/Arishok model > Sten model in DAO possible?

As I see it, it's a two-step process:
1. The head swap.
The big complication here is, I think, the fact that eyes work differently in DA2 than they did in DAO. I'm no expert, though.
2. The helmet problem.
You would need to make it so that helmets do not appear on Sten at all without affecting anyone else.

Alright, nice to know it's possible. Surprised by the lack of response for this, since it seems (post-release) opinion on the new Qunari models have been mostly quite positive. Anyhow, guess I can hope for something at some point in the future
