Shadow Veil NOT Obscuring?! No disorienting crits from it...

My issue is thus: Even if I stealth and subsequently use an auto-crit ability on an enemy, no disorientation occurs if they survive. There isn't even a shield popping up to say disorienting doesn't work on them. The only obscuring that allows my criticals to disorient was when I was using the chameleon's breath ability on my rogue or the obscure from bursting arrow via Varric.
Does anyone else have this issue? Or am I looking at this the wrong way?
I'm wondering if the reallocation from Maker's Sigh from the Black Emporium "undid" the training when I retrained back into Disorienting Criticals and Shadow Veil...

Maker's Sigh will undo absolutely everything attribute and ability-wise that was done to your character, including specializations. In the case of abilities, you will even be refunded the frivilous spare point that was expended without your consent at the start, however in the case of -attributes-, they -still- will be reverted to their "recommended" default numbers you saw when you were level 1, not all the way down to 10.

Interestingly, on occasion the disorient symbol does very briefly appear above the enemy when I critical hit from stealth with Shadow Veil, but it only remains for a split-second before disappearing, unlike the Chameleon's Breath route, which works as expected for me.

Is there any indication that bioware is working on fixing this?

Yes, shadow veil is buged. No disorienting crits. from them. Sigh, how many bugs does this game have? And why isn't the xbox version getting their patch update? Crist! I'm never buying anything that mike laidlaw is involved in from now on. That idiot copy&paste, so much of the world, it takes you right out of the game. DA:O, ME & ME2 didn't have this many bugs. WTF! Reason = MIke laidlaw. I can't believe the denial that he's in. who hired him? He's more of a salesman then a designer.
Excuse me, sir, but what does this have to do with Mike? He is a LEAD DESIGNER, not a bug tester or QA. You have no idea of what you are talking about.
As for the bug, it is self-evident since the obscuration goes away immediately after exiting stealth. No need to test Disorienting Criticals. Strangely enough, instead, the 3% stealth chance you get when attacked HAS the obscured effect lasting (even if you never took Shadow Veil or Stealth).

Seems to still be bugged. Would be nice to know if this will be fixed, or Bioware is even aware of it...

Today I decided to respec my rogue to get Disorienting Criticals and Shadow Veil earlier. Well, thank god I noticed no disorient signs popping up and came to have a look here so didn't waste a long time playing with it...

It's going through patch testing right now.
