Much better than I was getting with the 'newest' NVIDIA drivers

Okay, everything seems to work fine, but with 8x AA, there's strange blocky shadows in the top left during combat. With 4x, no problem.
It's the same as with the 270.32 forceware drivers i used the last few days.
That glitch appeared in the demo and full game with 8xAA too and I've seen in it all the v267.xx betas I've tried including the latest v267.59 ones. Seems to be a driver bug as dropping the AA down to 4x seems to fix it for me.
[quote[has given me a nice performance boost at DX11 Very High settings with 4xAA/16xAF.
Same here... the game now feels much smoother and the framerate has increased from 20-30 fps to 40-45 fps on the same settings. Definitely a big improvement IMO.
I experienced a few crashes with the 270.32, we'll see if those persist with the modified 267.59.
The v270.32 drivers seem to be alpha and somewhat buggy from my testing; I guess that's why they haven't been released officially as betas yet. The Unigine Heaven v2.5 demo had some weird texture seaming going on for example plus NVIDIA's own SLI Profile Tool was incompatible (I use it to import and export profiles for manual editing with Notepad). It was for those reasons that I went back to the v267.xx drivers which seem to be newer and in the case of the v267.59 ones contains fixes for DA2 which v270.32 doesn't.

Went from 20-25fps to 40-60fps on GTX 580.
Stability is about the same, only crashed once.

Still only seeing ~ 60 - 70% usage from each of the GPU's, though. Maddening.

GTX 470x2 SLI Stock
6Gb Ram @ 1600
1920 x 1080

Turned off ambient occlusion and distance and turned AA down to 4x.
Now I'm getting 90+ GPU usage and great FPS. Too bad about those
shadows, though...looked pretty. Albeit very choppy.

Settings used: DX11 + Very High, AAx2, AFx4, high resolution textures, Vsync ON (everything else = off)
The fps I measured is the average fps during the combat scene at the start of a new game. This is while actively running around and panning the camera. There are some minor spikes downward during special effects (like fireball), but the fps never dips below 30.
You missed the most important setting. The resolution.

Okay, followed all of the instructions, but even after uninstalling and cleaning the drivers, extracting the new drivers to C/Nvidia/Etc, and replacing the nv_disp.inf, the 267.59 installer still gives me an error saying "the graphics driver could not find compatible hardware." I'm on 32-bit Vista, trying to install to a GTS 250. Can anyone help?
Never mind, I think the problem is solved. The downloaded .inf didn't work, but modifying it myself seems to have done the trick.

Here's some fps comparisons from my save game which is a fairly static scene
With 267.24 (the official dragon age 2 beta driver for all cards). Note the DX11 framerates are kind of unstable despite the static scene.
DX9 - medium: 31
DX11 - medium: 22-30
DX11 - high: 21-26
267.59
DX9 - medium: 31
DX11 - medium: 32
DX11 - high: 28

Ther needs to be an offical Bioware fix/Nvidia driver update for everyone. It can't be that we have to manualy adjust some driver settings, etc. to make the game playable.
I agree, does someone have any news from bioware if there is going to be some sort of patch or something soon?

i5@3.3
460 1G
8G RAM
no overclock on anything, stability concerns
1920x1080
all on max
Do not have FPS, but this solution seems to be huge improvement for me. Before it was not moving on such setting, now it is playable, I suspect lowish fps but does not bother me, so far. Have to see about crashes I had before quite often, so far none.
Thanks for the workaround and yes if players can do it hopefully will the Maker

i just followed all instructions and successfully installed new drivers on my gtx280m. i am on an M17x laptop but when i boot my game i am still unable to select the very high settings and options are still greyed out. i have downloaded the file for the graphics off of the website and am still unable to use them. if anyone has any tips or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
The GTX 280M is a DX10 card. For "Very High", "Diffusion Depth of Field", and "High Quality Blur" to be selectable you need a DX11 card (GeForce 4xx or higher / AMD HD 5xxx or higher).
