Some people expecting miracles with older cards (8800, etc) or laptops should temper enthusiasm. Drivers, beta or not, will not turn your cards into super fast monsters.

Also got a ton of texture mods installed, but a couple of them sorta break in DX11 for some reason.

Anyone know if the 267.26beta for the 560Ti runs any better than the 267.24s. I'm sure its been said somewhere in the last 5 pages, but no forum search function still unfortunately.

Thanks. ya, that's the word on the street. I just don't want to go there right now. Time shortage mostly.

Installed these drivers a few days back
after getting ~30 fps at the very most with very high settings turned
on. Now I'm getting a solid 60 fps everywhere, except for the steps
leading up Sundermount, all the fog on the floor drops it down to
~40fps, and its only a tiny area, so its no biggy.

Was that in response to 267.26beta? If so, good to hear.
Update/edit: 267.26 gave me a 10fps+ increase in high settings (with all items checked by editing da2 settings file manually). Average 45-49fps using fraps benchmark running a circuit in outdoor location with lots of rocks.
Gave me a 20fps increase in very high mode with 0xAA and 16xAF. All texture problems and black triangles gone. Shadows are fine. Average 27fps (not great, but can live with it until better drivers come down the pipe).
Benchmark run in Wilmods camp area by running a circuit around the first loop. Ran a few benchmarks running the same circuit.
Running an nVidia 560Ti. Went from 266.66w ---> 267.26 beta drivers

267.26 is definitely an improvement, but 267.59 is an even further one. Tried both.

New drivers out today for nVidia: 267.84.
Drivers here: nVidia 267.84
You will needed a modded INF (unless you have a beautiful GTX 590.)
Link to Modded INF is Here
To install it you need to extract the driver archive and navigate to the folder that is Display.Driver, then paste in there (overwriting the original file.)
Looking at 85-95 fps
1920 x 1080 x4AA x16AF
Very High
SSAO On
DDoF On
HQ Blur On
HQ Textures On
Normally I have 8xAA but apparently that is what triggers the black shadow / block bug in the corners of the screen in combat.
This is still not the performance I would expect from this title. I would expect at least 120-150 fps, I just don't see it happening driver side anymore. BioWare please advise.
Will fix the link to the inf file when FearCain fixes it in his original post. Or he can repost here.

I did notice that while with these 267.59 drivers in 99% of the game everything was smooth, there were still some optimization issues towards the very end of the game (last primary quest section of act 3).
There were at least two areas there where I had massive fps drops to sometimes as little as 8 fps, and not just during combat but while moving around the city streets as well. Each spike was accompanied by a massive drop in GPU useage, so it's clearly an optimization issue and not that those area are just more gpu-intensive, else the GPU useage would have been stable or gone up.

Using NVIDIA system tools, I overclocked my GPU Graphics/Memory/Processor Clock to 800/1400/1600 Mhz.
I can get stutter free (i.e. at least 30 fps performance) with everything maxed out, including Hi Res textures. AA was set at 4x.
Yes, the 267.59 drivers represent a great leap forward for DA2.

Yeah, has anyone tried the modded 267.84 drivers, http://www.nvidia.co....84-driver.html or the 267.76 notebook drivers? http://www.nvidia.co...hql-driver.html
I just installed the 267.76 drivers.
I did not run any scientific GPU programs to test the FPS but based on my subjective feel of the game, DA2 seems to be slightly smoother.
I'm glad to be running official drivers now instead of the hacked 267.59.

IMPORTANT: The supplied Geforce Drivers 267.52 for Geforce GTX 590 will not stop the card from overheating when overclocking. Please use newer versions from the Nvidia website and stay away from 267.52. Otherwise this may happen ...

And you know why? 'cause I'm epic like that.

267.85 is almost the exact same as 267.84, just with some minor changes. From what i've heard, you should be good.

I'm curious to see the results. I still had some frequent stuttering on 267.26, so yeah.
Edit:
I like what I've seen.
No more stuttering, the game runs smoothly. No drop in FPS.
That's pretty good for a GTX 275 with everything maxed.

Hey maybe you could help, you look like a pro!
I used your inf hack to get the new drivers working on my gtx 570. I have since returned that card and replaced it with a gtx 560 Ti.
After cleaning the drivers and doing the whole process again with the gtx 560, it still says it cannot identify the hardware for the 257.59 drivers. I have tried multiple times and redownloaded the files. All to no avail.
Do you have any ideas why my GTX 560 won't work with the inf hack but my 570 did? I'm getting really annoyed

Nevermind, I found out myself. It runs far better. It does still lag, but it lags more in line with my system's specs, rather than just constant lag and stuttering. So, yeah. Works great!
It still does run better on medium on DX9 rather than DX11, so who knows.
I have the same card as you so I'm glad I just happened to read your post. Runs much better on DX9 medium settings for me too, so I'm not going to bother going through all the trouble to make it run better on DX11.

You have to make sure that the .inf has the right entries for your new card so that it can install. They will be different ones than your GTX 570.

How do I know which entries to change? The reason I didn't bother to look is because the same inf file just as I downloaded it worked for my SLI460's, my single 460, and my 570... just not the 560 ti.
IIt's driving me nuts! and it doesn't seem like anyone else needs to modify the inf to work, just like I didn't before.
Getting worse FPS with the 1000mhz OC 560 than I did with the 850mhz 460 (which was using the driver hack just fine).
EDIT: I figured it out. That was frustrating... lol
