Bioware, seriously what is wrong with you guys? With all the bad press
lately at first I just thought you guys made one bad game and it will
pass but your reaction to everyones feelings about whats going on I just
don't know..

Also
isn't this illegal?  You guys owe your fans a huge apology the whole
outrage on the forums does not seem to be going away and you response to
everything just has me just shaking my head.

First of all, this is done by one single person on the development team, and as such he does not speak for the entire team or Bioware itself. Whether it's a smart thing to do is another, but I suspect he doesn't find the zero score reviews fair for all the hard work he put into the game (and I agree), and as such posted a 10 review. I don't think it was smart of him to do so, but the outrage is ridiculous. If anything, start venting at the zero score reviewers.

1 post does not constitute a flood.

Also what of the sites that gave it a good review? The only site with a major down scores, was a German site, thats PC Biased as hell. And Metacritic which wasn't a review but a nerd horde that was pissed DA:2 wasn't DA:O 2.0.

Also the above comments.

Bettter luck next time?

Actually what stood out is how he was caught. His review was too well written. It was too polished. That speaks volumes about the people who post reviews at metacritic. The lesson to be learned here is if you are going to review your own work, be sure to write the review as much like an illiterate as possible.

A flood.................. /hilarious

What's even sadder is the vitriol the game has recieved from the presumed 'hardcore' base.

Seroiusly, a 0 out of 10? The game at worst is a 7, and at best a 9, but a 0?

Heck, I might even of wrote a review to bolster the numbers past the numerous zeros the 'fundies' gave it.

/just saying

I think the fans owe BW an apology for their childish behavior.

What if it's a really big post?

I don't really think this is wrong. Are BioWare employees not people who deserve to vote just as much as everyone else?

If Bioware or EA organized a huge campaign and their employees flooded sites with positive reviews, I’d be outraged. But one guy on the development team? Meh.

I'm more outraged about the lies in the title of this thread...

So basically this guy just got caught doing what every game developer does (try to boost their product)...

It's not a big deal, really. Although this very post was a little bit over the top this is quite common in "the biz"...

Or don't you think that movie makers ask the people working on the set to give their movie a good grade on IMDB?

This was one guy who was probably proud of the hard work the team spent on the game and wanted to give some of his thoughts to the public.

If anything, they should apologize and distance themselves from the incident. Defending it will make the outrage even worse.

I'm more appauld at Mike Laidlaw defending his dungeon designs, not at a team member trying to boost their score after the influx of 0s.

you would be surprised (or not surprised...) at how many B-grade games on metacritic have stuff like this... as much as people should be able to voice their opinions, that website is kind of a wasteland for legit opinions
